Hi everyone, hope you're doing well. Between school, work and a birthday party for 50 yesterday - I've been swamped! Bday party went well tho - luckily the bday boy wanted to serve spaghetti so it was fairly easy to pull off.

For January's VIP I forgot to post here that I have reviewed:
icon_biggrin.gif Homemade Honey Mustard #468302

And for my chosen chef Mersaydees, I made & reviewed:
icon_biggrin.gif Dr. Oz’s Belly-Blasting New Year’s Soup #470481

Mersaydees, I may be late in reviewing my 2nd tag, but it will be done soon soon soon.

No worries! I have one more tag that I cannot wait to make that may not be something I can whip up after work. It's Sharon's Veggie-Rific Noodle-Free Lasagna. It was on Saturday's menu and slipped through Sunday. I've been a bit under the weather and a bit over-tagged to boot! icon_lol.gif

Magpie, I was in a hurry to plate the food and get sufficient
natural light to take a picture. I should have had more of the white
basmati rice showing. But, we did enjoy your dish! The cilantro was
looking lame and wilty, too. I won't be posting this photo with the recipe.

Cookgirl, that's a great photo. You should post it.

If I was as picky as you, I wouldn't post 3/4 or more of my photos. I actually have some photos that I'd like customer service to remove -- a certain red velvet cake comes to mind! icon_eek.gif

Oh, I have one- a picture of my family's sage dressing that I would
dearly love to delete on this site. I *HATE* that picture. I don't really know
what I was thinking when I took that picture and posted it. I can hear my photography mentor: "Lighting, lighting, lighting!"

I know about the lighting. When I can, I take day photos. But this is Maine, where the days are short in winter and it's really difficult to photograph things in snow! Believe me, I've tried. I just can't go that extra mile to get lighting perfected. I have way too much going on in my life for the next several years. Maybe when I retire I'll have that kind of time.

Having said that, I love the attention to detail you pay your photos. And many others here, too. Brings me joy to have such photos on my recipes. Also brings me joy to have the average Jane or Joe's photos, too! I like food.com because it's like my own little reality show of reviews and recipes. I get the full range from Christian Louboutin's pricy red-soled shoes (your photos) to Walmart's financially-friendly muck boots (my photos). icon_lol.gif

No, I didn't think that at all. I think that if you don't post that lovely photo you might want to reconsider for Magpie's sake! She'd love it! I try not to make a habit of speaking for others but I feel I can in this case. icon_smile.gif

I have about 3/4 cup of almond pulp leftover from making almond milk this evening. It's just almonds and water-no sweetener. I don't want to throw it away. Any ideas? Please, no recipes that contain chocolate.

Thanks Ellie! Glad you like it!

And I have some news that I just have to share. I found out today that I'm moving to Paris! I am so excited (and panicked at the same time)!

I might be a little absent from the community here as I transition. But then sometime in May you are all welcome to come for a big Veg*n feast! Seriously, I really would welcome visitors!
