Ingredients
To make this Mississippi Mud Pie Recipe you will need the following ingredients:
Biscuit base -
280g/ 10 oz chocolate digestive biscuits
90g/ 3 oz butter
1st layer -
300g/ 10 oz /2 bars dark chocolate
2 teaspoons strong coffee
3 tablespoons whipping cream
2nd layer -
250g/ 9 oz marshmallows
4 tablespoon milk
400 ml / 3/4 pint whipping cream
Variation top -
150g white chocolate -melted
3-4 tablespoon cream
Methods
To make this Mississippi Mud Pie Recipe
Crush the biscuits
Melt the butter -stir in the biscuits-till well coated
Leave aside to cool
Melt the chocolate in short bursts in the microwave or over a pan of simmering water
Stir in the coffee and cream
Pour on to the base-leave to set in the fridge
Melt the marshmallows and milk together
Meanwhile whisk the cream
Stir the cream and marshmallow mix together
Spoon on top of the chocolate layer
If you want to top with the variation layer just melt the white chocolate and stir in the cream-spoon on top of the chilled coffee layer
