Brrr....its cold outside. Time to build a fire, grab a warm apple cider or Irish coffee and curl up with a blanket. Whats your drink of choice on these coooold Ontario winter days?

Hi Everyone! It has been quiet around here lately, guess it's that time of the year!
Well, hot apple cider is the drink of many here in the Maritimes and I must admit I enjoy it too!! Although, a nice eggnog with brandy or rum sort of warms you up too!!

Hi, friends! I hope everyone had a marvelous Christmas, and today is Boxing Day! I've been in Japan and got back in time to hurriedly get ready for the holidays. It was wonderful to go back to Japan -- I miss it.
Right now, I'm finishing editing a book for a Mexican lawyer and developing a course to teach at a health and wellness center. I'm also committed to at least "thinking about" an outline for my book on Chinese peasants. I have some irons in the fire in that country, and I'm hoping to go to China next year for business and pleasure. Love that place!
May this new year bring each of you peace, health and joy.

Happy New year everyone....may 2012 bring you many blessings of happiness, good health and prosperity.
Today we are taking down the tree and trying to enjoy the last day of my holidays before returning to the hectic work place.
Anyone wondering if Winter forgot to come? Here in southern Ontario we still have green grass and rain yesterday.

We had snow and freezing cold weather, now its 35 degrees and blue skies and bare sidewalks. Very crazy weather for Canada. I am happy the holidays are over and I think I will take down the village and put my living room back in order. I downloaded a monthly calender to declutter your house . I will start to do that today . I am bored and cant wait to get my teeth into something interesting to do.I have reorganized my shelves in the craft room my books are all in order, my receipts are all ready for taxes. the budget was totaled for last year and my new one is done for this year. Listed all my projects for the homeless to be done for the different places. I don't know of anything else I can do lol.
Hope everyone has a fantastic year.

Hi Brenda, looks like your organized for 2012. All I need to do is get over this bronchitis and I'll be good to go.
All my tax stuff is in a folder ready to go.I do that year round.
We had very little snow today BUT Grey Bruce got hit according to the weatherman. I'm glad I'm out of there.
All my Christman stuff is off the tree but tomorrow L'll wrap everything up and put it away. Not in the mood today to do it.

Brenda, this year I'm hoping to get a good refund. I also got a few more dollars taken off one of my pensions for my taxes,it's like saving money year round.
Everybody around us is getting a storm.I was just talking to a friend in GrandBend and she says it's pretty bad. They're suppose to get 15 to 30cm or more and we're suppose to get 2 cm....Love it here.
