Anyone know different techniques for Blue Mussel preconditioning and correct handling practices? i.e. methods to train them to close up to prolong shelf-life..

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Any pointers or suggestions would be most helpful.

    Thanks

I try to cook mussels the same day I buy them, and the farmed mussels generally have little sand/sediment, but here are the general procedures for storing and cleaning mussels, http://larry-ervin.suite101.com/how-to-buystoreclean-mussels-a43864
