I have the camea now! First I will read the instructions of course!
One photo about our apple picking season. Our apple tree is very old (more than 50 year old) We will have to replace it (in 3-5 years?), but we don't know the name of that variety. I can keep these apples in the cellar until April! The apples are juicy and a little bit sour. Perfect for pies.
Finally we celebrate the harvest with a delicious apple pie
Yesterday I spent hours canning. I made 16 jars!
Have a nice day!

Paymaster, what a great glimpse into your life and what a great turn out.
Oh awalde, she may be an old tree but her harvest is stunning with the sunshine beating on their sweet little red blushed cheeks.
I know your feet and back are tired after 16 hours of canning sliced apples and apple sauce but just remember it is a labor of love for your family and yourself, tasting a whole lot better too.
Steve, did not want to leave you out.

Awalde, your apple pics are fantastic!! Especially #2!
Steve, I checked on DPI (dots per inch) on Google, and from what I could understand of the technical talk it doesn't matter much and can be changed in editing. (?!) It has more to do with the size of the picture file. But I still cannot quite figure out why magazines insist on "high resolution photos", i.e. 300 dpi.
(Siiiigh ... There are many tech things I do not understand!!)

A glimpse from my world.
Spring is sort of springing ...
Last weekend we went to Storm River Mouth for 3 days -- it's a coastal as well as a marine conservation park.
Here we are driving through primeval forest -- impenetrable! It stretches over probably thousands of square miles, and it's a World Heritage area. (Rest of SA is pretty arid!!)
No photo can do justice to the fantastic wildflowers now in bloom on road verges.
Near the Storms River park we came across a baboon troop. Mother is tending to her baby. But these baboons can be immense pests! They will enter cottages and steal every bit of food in sight and leave the place a total mess, so warnings not to leave windows open when you're out, are everywhere!
We loved our cottage right on the rocks. The seagull was tame and insisted on posing!
In a nearby village we had lunch in a restaurant so kitsch, decorated in such bad taste, that it's become iconic! It's actually amusing. Me with a spooky-pale Elvis!

great shots... you live in a beautiful place....
the flowers along the verge look like you could brush through them and it would be like a giant airfreshner being opened....

In the Sept issue of National Geographic magazine there is an insightful article about the Earth's changing weather. It does concentrate on the USA only, but really, something is ... wrong. Along the coast (not inland) we have now had 4 months of winter.
We had masses of rain, causing lots of damage, and a really cold winter. Us alone (I mean DH and me) had to fork out thousands on extra soil drainage, etc. It's still going on.
But ---- oh boy, what a great thing for the wild bush! Here it's called "fynbos", which is a catch-all term for wild flowers/shrubs/small trees.
It is glorious this Spring, after all the rain. Unfortunately the weather along this coast is still so bl**dy awful -- I want to take my Fuji and get more pictures, but today you could hardly stand up in this wind.
(Up North in SA they have temps of 30 deg C. ... )

Zurie how beautiful that cliff is with the rocks and wild flower and the ocean is so blue and clean looking.
Yes you are right about no photo being able to do that lovely road as I can tell it immense.
Oh how cute baby is rubbing his eyes while mom grooms his just like a child crying while mom washes his hair.
I can see why you love your cottage as I am loving the photos you posted.
Oh come now you know some of those funky place can be great fun and besides how many woman these days get there photo taken with a young although pale Elvis.
Steve dinner looks good and I also thought what you did with the Pumpkin waffle photo was very cleaver.
