Amazing difference there, Steve! I do think with many food photos on this site the only problem was proper lighting. I see washed-out photos, and wonder where the photographer took it. And flash can soo wash out a photo.
Mickey, about the Scrabble "sign" on the cake -- I'm right now reading one of Dr Brian Weiss's books -- and there is no such thing as coincidence. Your mom definitely sent a happy sign!

I LOVE Dr Weiss but I definitely KNOW that I put that for those who MAY be spooked by the coincidence lol and yes yes I STRONGLY believe
there is no such thing as coincidence.

another little bit of lighting interest... this time with good daylight... so the lamps don't really add much... in fact they make a different photo altogether.. have a look, see what you think ?

as leftovers are coming up at the moment... here is one we did the other day....
you remember the steak pudding
and the roast chicken dinner
as well as the big fried breakfast
well the outcome of that lot as a meal for the next day... What I called "The leftover combo"....
leftover chicken, stuffings, roast potatoes, brussels from the chicken dinner, leftover sausage from the breakfast and gravy from the steak pies.. plus some freshly cooked potato and carrots...

Thanks, Mickey! I have all his books. Also I have all Dr Michael Newton's books -- the 1st one hit me in the solar plexus like a fist.
It's far too easy to call these people frauds, as many love to do. I have had many psychic experiences, and I can only quote Shakespeare's immortal words: "There are more things in heaven and on earth, than are dreamt of in our philosophy ... "etc.
(Don't know how many of these metaphysical books you read, but to my mind there is one total fraud: Sylvia Browne. Nuff said).

Steve, you have so many great photos now, of (I suppose almost all) your breakfasts, lunches and dinners!!
You could start a food blog, and it won't be much work, because you can use all these photos ... !!
