wave.gif thanks for liking my small honeybees!

Yesteday I had to capture a wonderful moment. This was the spectacle form my balcony:

Do you see my nuts tree? This is the last nuts tree with leaves around here.
He (?it?) is always the last one, then, when he decides that's over he lets fall the leaves in a few hours. We can hear the sound of the falling leaves. It's very impressive!

Does somebody know how to reduce the lens flare taking pictures of candles or like in this case the sun?
For the first photo I used the sunset option and for the second not.
With candles I had real problems with it? Thanks!

Sorry awalde don’t know the answer, even our local new has the same issue when doing sunrises.

Cool how your nut tree has such a personality of its own, reminds me of the very old study done at one of the universities were plants in one room heard classical music and positive talk. While plants in another room heard hard rock and negative talk, the plants in the happy classical room flourished and the plants in the negative hard rock room struggled and even died. So yes plants are living things that just may have there own personality icon_wink.gif

Thanks a lot I will have fun with him as well.
I made him some years ago and I still have fun with it. I will let him free in the garden from time to time and I will take some pics. icon_smile.gif

He arrived last night 12 days early, but Mommy & baby are doing fine. All the accessories are there and in their proper places. We can hardly wait to take our granddaughter Alexa to see her baby brother this morning (she's still in bed). I watched Alexa last night while grandma went back to the hospital for the birth. She got to be there through the whole thing and couldn't sleep once she got back home at 1:00 a.m.. More fun times ahead as our family grows. Just thought my friends here would like to share in the good news.

Ohhh ... shame! It's always slightly amusing how unhappy most babies look at finding themselves in this world!! icon_lol.gif Congrats, granddad! He's beautiful!

Awalde, about the lens flare -- not sure whether I am right, but I think a UV filter will help.

My camera always has a UV filter on, permanently. It also protects the lens. Ask advice at a good general camera dealer.

I've never had that problem, so I am merely guessing it might be the UV filter.

Thanks Zurie! I was using an UV filter, but searching in the web I find out that there are different kind of UV filters. Multi coated UV Filter should work fine.
I will have a look around for one of them.

Awalde, thanks a HECK of a lot. I saved that website to Favourites, as I need to read it more closely.

I think what I meant was that polarizing filter. I do not have that on my quite new Fuji HS30 EXR. I checked, and it's a UV filter.

So you can see I am also still "floundering in the dark"!! icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

I don't have a camera shop near where I live -- nearest one is in Port Elizabeth, so next time I do that trip I'll ask them. There's a very clued-up guy there.

You take gorgeous, wonderful photos on your website!!!!
