Ahh....great memories of some fantastic food. Those little out of the way places that you drive right by , can sometimes be the best

Good-Morning,,a little quiet around here. Everybody getting ready for Christmas ?
Sandy,,is your kitchen all done and are you enjoying your dishwasher.
Was in Tiverton on Thrusday and my friend and I drove to Kincardine for chinese food. When we finished our meal and came outside the weather was sooo bad. I drove 40k instead of 80k on hwy 21 to go home.Everyone was driving slow.Me who hates driving in the snow.Hopefully the winter here in Hamilton will be not tooo much snow,at least I can walk to the stores here.

Hello to Nora and everyone who is checking in!! A chilly, but sunny morning here in NS... saw a few flurries for about 5 minutes yesterday, it melted within minutes, thankfully!
Nothing new here, I've been to a few craft/bake sales lately. Our United church is having one next weekend. I have volunteered to help with the jewellery tables, we get lots of costume jewellery to clean, box and sell. Last year we made $880. it's a great way to make money, along with a bake sale and silent auction. They serve lunch of turkey-a-la king with gingerbread/lemon sauce for dessert.
Have a good weekend!

Hi Gals...so good to see you both here. I know its been quiet here, I have been busy with the Holiday Ornament swap. Paul has been away hunting for 2 weeks. He comes home tomorrow. I love, love, love my dishwasher Nora. Our floor is done. It looks and feels amazing. The trim is not on yet and neither are the closet doors or the toilet in our powder room. Paul will get to those things this week. Last weekend I went to a Trivia night fundraiser for Save the Children, a local charity group. It was a lot of fun, although not sure I was sooo much help..lol.
I guess driving up there in the snow really made you glad that your in Hamilton now Nora. I heard that the Farmers Almanac said its going to be a really cold winter this year across most of Canada. Environment Canada is now saying the same thing, guess they took the hint..lol. We sometimes get the snow that comes off of Lake Erie, so typically have more snow in Welland then in St Catharines. Not sure how it works up on the mountain where you are Nora.
Elly I love Church bazaars/ craft shows. Get some of the best stuff there. And I am sure that with you taking the extra effort to clean and box the jewelery that it is a great seller. Hope your East coast winter isn't too bad this year.

Hi everyone, today its cool out very different from the last few weeks. I am starting to wrap gifts and gonna put up the Christmas Village soon. It will take 2 days to get it the way my mind sees it I even bought a train last year to go around the houses.
I have no room for the big tree so the village is my way of dealing with it.
I am making gift baskets full of goodies to give to co-workers and a few friends. Have been making crafts to raise money for the different charities I work with . Figured it was a great way to use up my stash of stock .....Right Except I just bought more stuff., will I never learn. I have been trying hard to get rid of stuff lol I should give up on that idea. I am working on the basement and clearing up piles of boxes that have been here since we moved. Getting too old to do a lot of physical work quickly so I do about 2 hours a day. I may get it finished by Feb lol. Painting, floors & putting up shelves for all the tools and my canning stuff.
I am planning to take 2 of my grandkids to Cuba with me next year so I am saving all my change and using coupons to get extra cash . I feel like I am not taking anything away from the house when I do it that way. I would have spent full price so with discounts thats free money to me. I need 3000 bucks for the 3 of us. The trip will be fun I am sure as I love Cuba anyway.
