    Is there anywhere that people post what they are eating, to give some of us new carbers ideas? I am going to give low carbing a try. For tomorrow I am going to have cottage with cinnamon and splenda. Lunch will be salad with chicken. Dinner will be chicken breast with salad and a side vegie. Snack will be nuts and the afternoon snack will be string cheese. Is this okay?

    You can eat like a queen on low-carb! What delights me, is that real fine dining dishes are usually low-carb -- no stodge!

    I hope you are not a finicky eater! I'll be back with links to some low-carb dishes.

    In the meantime, remember to disregard the well-meant advice about "fibre" and fruits. Fruits contain lots of fructose -- sugar/glucose!!! You get the same nutrients from vegetables and salads, and some sliced fruits can always be added to salads.

    Low-carb means a different attitude, but NOT going hungry. Oh boy, I'd hate that! icon_eek.gif

    Lori, I am so sorry that my time here online is limited. I usually check my forums, but don't have a lot of time to spend here.

    I started checking my recipes, but got no further than p 2.

    Don't want to confuse you, but here are some low-carb recipes from my collection of about 300+ recipes (and this is halfway down p 2! icon_wink.gif) Of course not all, by any means, are low-carb -- I have a family to please!

    Swiss Baked Tomatoes in Cream
    Easy Spinach and Mushroom Tart (Side Dish)
    Sliced Chicken Breasts in a Thai Sauce
    Easy Spanakopita Bites
    Salmon Tartare
    Zucchini, Walnut and Parmesan Salad
    Beef and Kidney Casserole, With Unusual Seasonings
    Veggie-Loaded Side Dish Bake

    Use phyllo pastry instead of any other pastry -- 3 thin sheets are usually enough, just don't fill with a watery filling.

    Make delicious savoury pies with spinach and feta cheese -- lots of recipes on this site.

    Make eggs for breakfast --it fills you up all day!! And don't mind fats such as cheese, olive oil, butter, cream. It's natural ... icon_wink.gif
