We lost power during Hurricane Irene for most of Saturday, part of yesterday and even today for an hour. We had a generator for our freezer and refrigerator!

No damage here due to the drainage ditch in the back yard that is usually dry is filled with about 6' deep of water by about 100' wide by 400' long. I shudder to think of where all of that water would have gone if the basin wasn't there!
