Welcome to our fun tag game for August!
This month we are tagging recipes that (are healthy for you) and you have saved in your cookbooks over time, but never managed to make. Go through those recipes and find those dusty, but delicious, sounding recipes and start cooking for some beachtime fun!

You have the month of August to make as many recipes as you like and can make by August 31st. We do ask that your choices be toward the healthy end of the balance scale but what you choose to bring to the party is really your choice.

Start of a new week and a new month at the same time - how great is that? I don't have my recipes yet, but NOW the weather starts getting like summer again, so I might choose summer dishes icon_wink.gif

Good morning all! I'm home again and have loads to catch up on. I also have tons of recipe in my wanna try cookbook. This will be a great thing to hopefully get a few done. I'll check back later and start making some menu selections for the month.

    Hi Paula wave.gif
It's great that you're back. I'm not sure though that your cookbook will be any smaller after this game - usually one refills it with the other players' recipes equally quickly... icon_lol.gif
Did you finally get the rain your region so badly needed?

    Hi all wave.gif
Maybe I won't be around today because finally it's dry enough to do the weeding and then there will be the funeral of the mother of dh's best friend. Not quite sure how dh will cope with that (not because of the sad occasion, it's not too sad because the old lady really was more than keen on leaving this world finally, but because of having so many people around him).

Hope you all have a great day!

And Kathy, I hope you'll have a great trip!

icon_rolleyes.gif Well.... it's the last month of winter here! Looking forward to chasing the sun up to sunny queensland in a couple of weeks' time, so I'll be using bbq and summer recipes while I'm away - when I'm not just dining out! I really don't want to be doing too much cooking while on holiday. icon_cool.gif But I guess the bbq's at the beaches may be put into use.

It'll be nice to go for a swim. We're going to stay for some of the time with my best girlfriend at her summer home. While she's been in Melbourne, she's been holiday letting her home in queensland - three floors of beauty! Anyway, she's reserved the top floor for us to go to, so we'll have 360 degree views of the beaches and Moreton island to the east, the Glasshouse mountains on the west side and, of course, the city of Brisbane to the south. The view to the north just seems to go on forever with the forests up there.

We'll have the indoor pool to swim in if the weather on the beach isn't as good, so the bbq on the deck outside the house will come in for some use. Oh, I can't wait!!!! No work!!!! icon_eek.gif

Anyway, we bought a new queen-size bed for the second bedroom (threw out the old one) for our DS to use.... he's coming home from his holiday in Africa this week. Been away three months, so I can't wait to see him. He'll enjoy having the place to himself while we're away, then he'll be looking for a new home for himself after that, I suppose. Don't really know his plans as I haven't spoken with him.

Also bought a new bed for our grandson for the third bedroom - trouble is, I forgot about my big sewing cabinet.... I don't know what to do with it! Where can I put it? No room in my office! Maybe I should put my filing cabinet into the third bedroom, covered with a cloth when not in use, then put the sewing cabinet into the office, if it fits... I already have three desks in here and a tall bookcase. Too much stuff! Gotta go, DH is on his way home from work and I haven't cleaned the kitchen - been lazy today. icon_confused.gif icon_lol.gif icon_redface.gif icon_twisted.gif

rotfl.gif So happy to be going on holiday... rotfl.gif

Thanks Andi and Mia! It's just a short trip up north to my mom's. My sister and niece from AZ are visiting up there right now, so we are going for the last half of the week. icon_biggrin.gif

Andi, your photo looks SO darn good! Hope all is well with you gf. icon_biggrin.gif

Mia, I hope your DH does well with the outing. Fingers crossed!

iknitok, have a fabulous vacation. It sounds like you'll be staying in a lovely place!
