I do see send to cell is coming. but an actual app would be awesome!
with the ability to create a shopping list would be great.
also more baking recipes by weight or the ability to convert recipes to weight

I agree, we need to have a mobile app created for the different platforms out there. I would love to be able to be at the store and look up food.com on my droid to see what I need to get. Right now I have to go to the site and search for the recipe because the layout of the site will not allow me to select my cookbooks from the mobile device. Would be great to have an app that can search recipes as well as display personal cookbooks that may have been created by the user.

I agree. I have an iPhone and there are tons of recipe apps. Food.com needs to get in the game. I can never find the same level of depth on the other apps as i do a good food.com search. Plus it would make the shopping list feature much more useful. I understand that making a quality app would take time but please tell us there is one in the works?

I have been looking to other sites that do have IPad apps only because this one does not. Are there any plans to move in this direction?

Why no iPhone apps? I've been wanting one since recipezaar. Now I just don't use the site much anymore. Sad to say.

It is surprising to me that this thread was started in Oct. and not a single staffer has made a response. I am guessing that this does not get read.

Is anyone using a menu planner app for their iPad yet?

My Recipe Book/Recipe Book is great.
It lets you import recipes from several online sites INCLUDING food.com.
I imported all my favorites.

No app would be needed if weight just became the standard like it is in most countries outside the US.

Wow - thanks for letting us know about the My Recipe Book app. I just put it on my iPad and imported my first recipe from food.com and it was very fast and easy. I guess I have to do it one recipe at a time - if there is a faster way, please let me know. If only it was available for the iPhone too!

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if "My Recipe Book" is available for Android. The couple apps I did find did not import from Food.com.
