Travelers love Central and South America. It’s as though it was made for travel; places that excite, thrill and challenge, also make many stop in awe of the beauty.

Sweat yourself dizzy on an Amazon canoe ride before ending the day caiman-watching on a black-water lagoon.

Visit a live volcano in Costa Rica.

Play on a powdery white sand beach in Nicaragua.

Brave a white-knuckle bus ride down Peruvian slopes and be astounded by endless Andean vistas.
Endure Patagonia’s wind-driven rain while chasing life-affirming sunsets or simply lose yourself (and possibly your belongings) in the break-neck chaos of Buenos Aires, Brazil or Salvador

Carmen Miranda has been on a Tour of South and Central America.

Along the way, she has picked up interesting bits of trivia about the places she has been.
Now she wants to make a scrapbook of her journey, but she can't recall some of the answers to the following clues and trivia.

Help Carmen Miranda sort things out by filling in the blanks.

3. Carmen took this beautiful photo of a flower. Can you tell her the name of the flower and which country calls this its National Flower?

4. What does Argentina's name mean?

5. Panama had their first female president in 1999. What is her name?

6. Name the Southernmost country in Central America.

7. The national dish of Belize is Stewed Chicken with Rice and Beans and Potato Salad. What is another, more common name for this dish?

8. While visiting the Galapagos Islands, Carmen saw this creature. What is it called?

9. Carmen has some currency leftover from her travels called "Guarani". Can you tell her what country it is from?

10. While in Honduras, Carmen witnessed a strange phenomenon that began with a dark cloud in the sky followed by lightning, thunder, strong winds and heavy rain for two to three hours. Once the rain stopped, hundreds of living fish were found on the ground. People took the fish home to cook and eat them!
