I have never been to Ireland so I can't really answer your question. Our landlord is Irish though. He lives in County Mayo. It is supposed to be very beautiful there and the people very friendly. My husband has travelled there several times and has always enjoyed himself. You can find out more information here: http://www.discoverireland.com/gb/?WT.mc_id=gb_ga_060309_visit_ireland&WT.srch=1

It is a tourist site and they should be albe to give you some good information. Hope this has helped somewhat!

I've only just joined the forum and I'm Irish and live in Ireland. How did your trip go? If you plan to go back, let me know and I'll try to help you plan your itinerary and maybe to find a few hidden gems.

    All the best

My son is the one that went to Ireland. He took "several" pictures. Beautiful land and scenery. Probably won't be going back as it was part of his university studies.
Thanks so much for your reply. =)
