    Super Food Ideas

    The May edition of Super Food Ideas does a huge feature of gluten free recipes plus features a family that require gluten free recipes and generally an allergy section of recipes for children. I'm in no way associated with the magazine other than as a purchaser of it but thought the Aussies may want to know about this issue and I will be trying to post some of the recipes here from it, if you should be looking for a particular style of gluten free recipe please let me know and I will see if they published one in this edition and post it.

    I actually bought the SFI magazine and was reallnicely surprised to see so many good looking gluten-free recipes. It's nice to just see a recipe that I dont need to think about any substitutes I need to make

    vegetarian pizza and the chicken parkigiana looked like great family recipes (p29-30). THe little tuna, corn and chive tratlets on p4 looked pretty good too icon_biggrin.gif

    I liked the look of the Diabetes-friendly penne boscaiola (page 30) though for 4 of us I would only use about 250 grams (not 375 grams as specified) and serve a green salad on the side. At 375 grams of pasta, a 1/4 of that would be too much carb for my system.

    The green salad on the side sounds like a good option. I haven't cooked with the light creamy evaporated milk before.

    The chicken and sage skewers on p75 are looking pretty good too yummy.gif

    I think the SFI magazine is a good read for the small price tag ($2.95). It seems to have good everyday kind of recipes
