I used and saved a fabulous fish recipe .........and then fumble fingered me managed to delete it from my cookbook.
I remember steeping the fish in milk and rolling in mildly herbed bread crumbs then baking in the oven.
Is there anyone who saved this as well?
The thought of searching through almost 6000 recipes is enough to put me off fish !
Fingers crossed and hoping for help.

Did you review it - it would be in your reviews cookbook.

I got the recipes down to 332 by sifting for fish, milk, and oven. Do you remember anything about the breadcrumbs or herbs used?

No, unfortunately I didn't have time to review it before I lost it.

There was no cheese used. That is the only thing that I'm sure of.

Oops, Anne! A recipe lost, on this site, is a problem!!

If you can remember how to prepare it (you mention milk and herbs) can you re-create it?

All I can help with is this: a whole fish of anything up to 2 kg/4+ lbs, wrapped in foil and baked in a 350 deg/180 C oven will be done in 30 minutes.

Especially if you leave the fish on a platter in a warming oven for a few minutes.

Thank you both for trying to help me.

The steeping in milk should be a no brainer even for me.......it's the herb mix that I'm nervous about.

What, if any, suggestions would you have ?

So..... I asked my son what the blue thing in your reply was about !

My oh my. incredible thingy. Now he will have to show me how to subtract items.

I did find one that is very close so I have saved that while I try to work up the courage to play around with it.

Thank you very much for teaching me something new.
