Starting a new conversation thread as problems were beginning to crop up with the old one. Will unsticky it and have it locked once everyone finds their way to this new one.

Not a lot going on here. Same old, same old. I have been in a lot pain this week. We went to Mold yesterday. Someone had told us there were some lovely charity shops there and so we went investigating. They were not lying. And we found a fabulous green grocers as well, where I got the loveliest cauliflower and some nice potatoes! Great prices too. Of course we had to have a Bara Brith as well. We will go back as they have a lovely open market there on Wednesday's and Saturdays. Not today though as I over did it and am paying the price.

Last night we went to this little local church where they have purpoted to do healings. I thought to myself what could it hurt. We stayed about an hour, but when this lady jumped up and started screaming and then fell down in the aisle and was jerking all over the place we both decided we had had enough! It was really scary! We left! icon_eek.gif icon_eek.gif

So no healing for me. I have an appointment for a cortizone shot in my knee on Tuesday, but oddly enough that knee has calmed down now and it is the other one giving me problems. Along with the bones on the top of my feet. Wierd. I was sitting and thinking and you know I was in a car accident about a month and a half before I moved over here. I have been in pain ever since. Not a lot at first, but it's gotten progressively worse as the years have gone by to the point now where it is becoming debilitating. I am trying hard not to let it keep me down. I did walk to and from the Doctors the other day. But I did pay for that one afterwards as well. It is quite disheartening.

    icon_biggrin.gif I found you Marie!!!
Sounds like Mold is quite a nice little place, love markets and charity shops!
Your church visit with the healing episode is more than I could take too!! Scary stuff!! Prayers work best!!
Sorry you having so much pain, that accident is probably the cause of some of it too. A few years ago I fell and to avoid hitting my face on a tile floor I put both my hands out, landed on the pads of my thumbs and now I notice they ache occasionally.I think I must have damaged the bones, just enough to cause me grief now that I am getting older.... I try to ignore it! icon_rolleyes.gif I did have xrays at the time, but nothing was broken, maybe tiny fractures did not show and that's what is causing the discomfort now..
When you tend to favour an ache, the stress will transfer elsewhere, that's probably what is causing you other aches elsewhere... oh the joys of aging!!

Have a good weekend everyone! icon_biggrin.gif

Sorry about your pains, Marie. I hope you find some relief for that soon.

Thanks for starting the new thread!

I have been sick all morning with a stomach ache. I had wanted to get out early to see if I could find anything at some yard sales today, but it is almost noon now, so I doubt I will get to. I still feel pretty awful, just not quite as bad now.

I hope you feel better soon Heather!! I miss yard sales. They have car boot sales here, but they are usually always on Sunday mornings and I am otherwise occupied!

Glad you are all making your way here! I thought about having the other thread locked, but it is just too much trouble and would mean posting in the Hosts Forum if I could find it, which most of the time I can't!

I have an appointment on Tuesday to have a cortizone injection in my knee and then am going for my first physio therapy appointment on Wednesday. I just ache all over though, so not sure what the cure for that is! Just shoot me I guess!!

I cut out all the pattern pieces for a Holly Hobbie doll yesterday. I haven't made one of those since I was 18, but I figured a new grand daughter was cause enough to make another one! Hope she turns out well. I know it will be yonks before little Maryn will be able to play with it, but I 've been waiting a very long time to have a grand daughter to spoil! I love my grandsons too, but you can't make them dolls can you? Just sock monkeys I suppose. Or clowns.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi....haven't been getting any messages, but obviously that's because not many people are around at the moment. What a shame.

I don't think it will matter that the old thread is not locked Marie. I think everyone will find the new one at the top of the page as it's where we are used to looking.

    I'm here Sandie!

I had the cortizone shot in my knee yesterday. It hurt when they first put the needle in but then the pain relief kicked in and I didn't feel anything. I have to take it easy for a few days. I didn't sleep too well last night as it was very uncomfortable, but tonight it is feeling better. I am hoping that I will soon be able to walk like I used to!

My husband also injured his knee. We used a rice filled pillow case taht we microwave to help alleviate some of the pain. Try that. Works REALLY good if you add lavender oil to the rice...

Thanks for the advice Teamandrewswife! I'll bear that in mind.

I am so excited. I checked on the Imagination Crafts site today and my stamps are up:

    http://imaginationcrafts.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=52_162

I love what they have done with them. I hope that they do well. I am working on a second set now and they are talking a third for Christmas. I think they will be on QVC on the 15th of March at 3pm.

I must go pinch myself now!

Thanks girls. I didn't get a whole mittful of money for them, but it was fair enough for an unknown artist like myself. It's a start and I am really hoping that they do well so that I can move onwards and upwards!

I picked up a nice Beleek china cream & sugar bowl today at an Estate Sale. I had already looked at it and loved it yesterday, but came back today to see if it was still there. Today they had marked everything down to 25% off, so I was able to get it. It had been marked at $20 and I got the 25% off, so that was quite nice. (Just slash that number in half again to see just how little that is in pounds).

I bought it because I loved it, not for any value, although it is worth more than I paid for it.

Here is a link to a photo I found that is the same set:
