    The major advantage of nuts and seeds are they contain excellent nutrients. These are great sources of protein and people who are vegetarian can get a lot of protein by consuming nuts and seeds.

    Recently there was an archeological dig in Israel where researchers found evidence showing that nuts formed a major part of man’s diet 780,000 years ago. 

    Nuts were and still are an important part of your diet - they taste wonderful and can be added to many dishes from main meals through to desserts. it gives you nutrients, fibre and energy.

    Nuts were gathered and often ground, hence the discovery of some of the oils that we still use today.

    Seeds were harvested and eaten on a regular basis and often pounded into an edible pulp, which then lead onto it being incorporated in many ways of cooking.

    Here are just a few examples .Almonds, Cashew, Brazil nuts, Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Peanuts, Coconut, Chestnuts, Pistachios, Sunflower seeds, Pumpkin seeds, Flaxseeds, and Whole Sesame seeds just to name a few.
