Can you tell me what you are eating? icon_biggrin.gif I know low carb works, but I find it hard to stick to it for an extended period. I need to get motivated again.

I need to start following this too. My DH and I did lose weight a few years ago by watching carbs.......but like others, we drifted away.
Now DH is having cholesterol problems and needs to get back on a healthy diet.
He is not easy to cook for......loves fried foods and snacks.
Now he thinks he should be eating fruit......but that is really all sugar.
Guess I will have to try to get some veggies in and stop cooking any beef, which he loves.
Any ideas? We do eat a lot of fish and shrimp, but so many of the recipes are full of fat.
I just wanted to say I will be watching this site and see if anyone else is interested and has ideas.

Eureka !! That's wonderful. You must be so proud.

I just have to get going and have a good week myself.......I love that feeling of accomplishment !
I have put on about 15 lbs. this winter, and I'm busting out of my slacks.....so have to do something fast. Isn't it funny how 5 or 10 pounds can make such a difference ? I just wish I could take it off as fast as I put it on.
Good luck in the weeks and years ahead.

Awesome to everyone! I just started 3 weeks ago and I am now down 16 pounds, which is not much for a guy who was 298! Been eating low carb in the style of Gary Taubes book Why We Get Fat.

great! I've not really checked out this forum until now. I've lost about 30 lbs with low carbing. Want to drop another ten (it's a plateau), and then remain at maintenance carbing.

I started low carb-ing less than a week ago. I can tell already I dropped a few pounds. No scale in the house, it's in the barn to weigh baby goats, lol. My goal is to be 30 pounds lighter by the end of the summer. Wish me luck.

Thank you for the encouragement! I can really tell I've lost a few pounds in my ...ankles, lol.

How lucky for you to get a new wardrobe. I plan on getting back into my "skinny" clothes. Or altering what I have already. Thank God I sew.
