I just bought the super wave oven from ShopNBC along with the cookbook. Has anyone baked a potato in it with steak? If so, please tell me the time and temperature. They demoed it on tv but it's not in the manual or cookbook.
Thanks,

Hi, Svenka!
After doing some research on the Super Wave, I would suggest trying the following for cooking a baked potato alongside a steak:
Wash and scrub potato. Pierce deeply with fork several times.
Lightly rub potato skin with canola oil or butter, roll lightly in coarse kosher or sea salt.
Place on top rack of Super Wave oven.
Set oven to 400° and bake potato for 30 minutes.
Season 1-inch thick steak, as desired, and place next to your potato on the top rack of oven.
Bake both potato and steak for 7 minutes, then turn the steak over and continue to bake another 3 to 8 minutes or until the following internal temperatures are reached:
Potato - 210°
Steak (med rare) - 145°
Steak (medium) - 160°
Steak (well done) - 170°
This "recipe" is simply based on my experience converting recipes from conventional to crock pot, my experience with my convection oven/microwave and the information I was able to find in the Super Wave manual online.
If you give it a try, I'd love to hear how it turns out!
