Make a new menu, add at least one recipe. (This won't work if there are no recipes on the menu.)

A group will appear, like "Main Dish" If you click on the TITLE an edit box will appear. Change it to say the day of the week. For example, MONDAY.

Keep selecting "Add Group" from the top of the menu. "New Groups" will keep appearing.

Rename all the New Groups to the days of the week.

Use the "Reorder Groups" button at the bottom of the menu to rearrange the Days of the week in the right order.

As you add recipes, most of the time new categories will appear with the recipe at the bottom of the menu. Just select "Reorder Recipes" and move the recipes onto the day of the week you'd like. You can either leave the empty groups alone or delete them.

An option is to have more than one weekly menu set up (I use three). Then you can be working on next week's menu without altering the current week. Just retitle the menu to reflect the upcoming dates, or just labeled them Week 1, Week 2, etc.

Thanks for posting on making weekly menus. I've actually decided to make a full year's worth of them. My hope is that it will allow me to capture the flavors of the seasons as we roll from one year to the next. It would be very nice if there was a way of copying menus, but I do not see that option. Do you know of any means to do that?

Not yet, Blue Plate. They are still tinkering with the menus and their capabilities. Some day all our dreams will come true! icon_cool.gif

Good luck with a whole year of menus!!! I hope you'll share them with us!

The ideaof assembling weekly menus is great; however, it be even greater if there were a shopping list with each menu. Is there, or what are the chances of there being such a thing in the future?

There is a shopping list function! On your menu, you can click "Add to Shopping List". follow all the prompts from there and it will take you to the list where you can tweak it as desired.
