Has anyone cooked fresh corn on the cob in a crockpot? Any recipes?

    1. Husk and wash corn, cut into half-ears, insert into crock pot.
    2. Cover with herb chicken broth (home-made preferred).
    3. Set crockpot on HIGH about 3 hours.
    4. Corn will be fork tender when done.
    5. Drain half of the chicken broth, then cover corn (still in the crock pot) with 4 sticks of butter.
    6. When the butter melts, your corn is ready to serve.

    I roasted mine.

Peel back the husks, and break the cob in half and put butter, herbed butter, or margarine to coat. Remove the outer husks and wrap the broken halves, and rewrap the attached halves. Place in the crockpot. You might put a little liquid on the bottom of the crockpot for steam. Roast on high for a few hours (depending on the size and heat of the crockpot).

I take all of the silk out of the husk, and the outer leaves of the husk, rinse with cold water, shake it a little, pull up the remaiing husk leaves to cover.
put in the crockpot. Melt 1 stick of margarine with 1 tsp McCormick's all seasoning and 1/4 cup water, wisk in and pour over corn.Cover Turn crockpot to high, when it starts to steam, turn to low. 5 or 6 hours, will be moist, and fresh. Pour off any remainig water margarine mixture and mix with mashed potatoes and cream cheese. icon_smile.gif
