    Ham Steak Dinner

    Another bad pic, color and resolution; bad light and a very quick photo. But, it was decent, and the recipe is good. It is a 4 ingredient recipe so I thought I would post and then post the pic.

    The ham steak is glazed with a mix of maple syrup, cider vinegar, dijon and ginger. IT ISN'T a sauce and not thick, more of a basting sauce. Better use on ham steak vs a whole ham. But it is a light nice flavor.

    I took this pic and then glazed it once more before before serving so it looked better; but it was very nice. I cooked mine on the grill. It was very moist and tasty.

    A basic 4 bean salad, tomatoes and rolls. One roll is for me; the other for kitties ... they love buttered rolls,all 3 of them. I can't make dinner with rolls and not make one for them, seriously. Yes, they are spoiled.

    So good and easy. Dinner is 15 minutes on the table. And yes, ham and then the sweet maple syrup; smells so good cooked inside or out.

    There is a recipe on here which is almost identical. I add ginger to mine. It came from and old small pamphlet book years ago, but it used yellow mustard and Aunt Jemimas syrup. That is why I never posted it; it was too close. I just updated to real syrup and dijon

    1/4 cup syrup
    1 tablespoon cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon dijon
    1/8 or a pinch of powdered ginger

    Just mix and brush on as it grills. If using it in a pan, same method; but being in a plan you get more of a glaze; I prefer the grill.
