Sure. Belizean Rice and Beans
Is it because the cookbook hasn't been made public? I would have thought you could have both public and private recipes in a private cookbook, but who knows.

Debbie, you're not seeing the link to make that recipe public at the top b/c you've already made it public. That link you shared there is for a published recipe. You must've submitted it for publishing publicly already and it got approved yesterday.
And yep, you can have private and public recipes saved in a private cookbook. You can only have public recipes in a cookbook you want to publish publicly however.

Have a question about browsing reviews. If there are more than 10 pages, you can't see anything beyond page 10. (When you click next on page 10, it goes back to page 1.) Not sure if this has already been brought up. Sorry if it has.

This is a known bug. If you use the search this set function within your reviews, you can find any review that fits, even if it's not on the first ten pages. This had cropped up as a problem earlier, was fixed, but has come up again, a bit more stubborn this time around....

What happened to the old site! At least it worked! I can't search for recipes anymore, the button doesn't seem to work. It took forever to sign in because it took me to the profile page but the button didn't work to accept or leave that page or anything.
I was able to sign in at home but I still cannot search recepies. I tried to search but did not see a simlar problem.
THis is like what they do at work - they tell us they are going to "improve" something then we have a lengthy computer downtime onlly to be rewarded with features that don't work anymore.

Margo, perhaps you could provide a little more information and we could see if we can help you. If you are using IE8 or 9, it is likely a compatibility issue with the browser and we can help you get that fixed. If you are using a different browser, then please let us know what browser and operating system you are using, so that the staff could troubleshoot.
If you are using IE6, that browser is not supported - that's something that I run into a lot as we are still using IE6 at work, and almost nothing works correctly.
In terms of searching, would you please let us know what you are having trouble finding and we will try to help you.

I also am having significant issues with using the new site. I'm using IE 9 (I'm pretty sure, it's either that or 8 ) and the many of the site's features don't work. I can't search at all, the little option boxes pop up everywhere and can't be closed etc etc. I could go on but I suspect you already know all the issues.
Can you please let me know what the best way is to combat these issues so I can use the site again?

I am using IE 9 on my laptop. My netbook still has IE 8 and I can utilize the site with it.
So I guess it's the browser. Will it be fixed? I would imagine a lot of people will be using ie9.

The browser issue is a problem with IE and you can fix it yourself - just follow te instructions on this thread, http://www.food.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=359265

Anyone posting here needs to be aware that this FAQ does not apply to the "new" 2012 Food.com, but rather to the update of a year ago.
