I'm a little late on posting this but...
I watched the Nederland/Uraguay game in the most unique setting!!
It was evening...In Giza Egypt..a rooftop cafe from the hotel, at least 38 degrees...to the left was a busy street below and across the street the men were doing their nightly prayers in a screened in carport looking place. In the distance you could hear the loudspeakers from the evening prayers echoeing over the rooftops...to the front of me over the balcony was the view of the Pyramids of Giza in the dark, first one was lit up and then the other and then darkness..honking of horns below in the traffic and off to the far right was a neon lit ferris wheel going around in the dark...behind me...Nederland playing their heart out on a double big screen tv fastened to the gigantic umbrella pole in the middle of the terrace....and maybe 10 people in all sipping on Egyptian beers and hibiscus teas....
