Does anyone have the 2-4-6 quart (3 in 1) crockpot from Hamilton Beach? I bought one at a yard sale and have never used it. Are there any "secrets" to success with this one? does it cook too hot?
anything you can tell me is appreciated.

Hey GrannyHen
I have one and love it. I broke the 4 quart crock and have been looking for a replacement.
There are no "secrets", just select the size of the crock you are using and the temperature you want to cook at. The unit does not cook too hot for me. It's a good unit. Have fun.

One thing I remembered reading from someone who thought it ran too hot was to use a lower capacity setting. For example, if you are using the 6 qt insert, then set it for 4 qts, which will then run a little cooler.
This is the one I intend to get once my ancient crock decides to pack it in.

I have had this slow cooker a couple of years now. I like it a lot. It cooks a lot cooler than the Crock Pot I had previously that seemed to scorch everything, but still not as "slow" as the pots I had when I was first married. I like having the different sized crocks. My only complaint is that I wish it was oval! Enjoy your new slow cooker!
