My imaginary camera broke, so bear with me on my journey through Jordan

Pierce Brosnan and I landed in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan airport on Air Jordan. Since the airport was really close to the capital city of Amman, we decided to rent a car and go there first. We met up with Alligirl, The Renegades co-captain, and Queen Dana and they took us on a tour of the city. We saw the busy markets and visited a museum, before sitting down to eat Shish Taouk, with hummus and pita. We flavoured the hummus with za'atar, fresh parsley, and black olives. We had so much fun in the city we stayed an extra day, enjoying mint tea, and yogurt for breakfast.

After the second day Pierce and I met up with Ev/Athens our other co-captain in Jerash, where there was an ancient Roman city nearly two thousand years ago. It was a beautiful site, and showed how Jordan hosted other cultures in the region. We snacked on figs, dates, and oranges sprinkled with cumin and coriander seeds.

That afternoon we met with JackieOhNo! and climbed Mt Nebo, the place where Moses handed down the Ten Commandments to the Jews. We realized that Jordan played a huge role in some of the most important events in Judaism's history. On top of the mountain we ate chickpea salad, and some water, because it was so hot out.

The next day Pierce and I visited Madaba with Mulligan and Scoutie. There we saw the Byzantine mosaics, and they were so beautiful! We stayed nearby with some Jordanian families and enjoyed some Mezze or Muqabalat, which is Arabic for Appetizers. They shared with us Kouba Maqliya which are oval shaped ball with meat and bulgar wheat with more meat and pine nuts inside. They sure were delicious!

We then went to Bethany beyond the Jordan with Susie Cooks and Thymestudio, where Jesus was baptized, another important role Jordan had in Christianity's history.

The next day we visited the Dead Sea with Strawberrybird, and then rested at Aqaba, the only resort town in Jordan. We scuba dived, and tanned on the beach. It was the perfect afternoon.

On our last day, we visited Petra, one of the most important archeological sites in Jordan, if not the entire region with Ice Cool Kitty. It was so beautiful and grand, and we wondered how these people could have built such buildings into the huge rocks. It was so amazing to look at it. We came in one direction on camels - cars weren't allowed - and we just marveled at how amazing everything looked. we had an amzaing meal with Tabouleh and Harissa Couscous, and some more mint tea.

All in all, Pierce Brosnan and I had a really fantastic visit, and are filled with fond memories of the country. Everyone was so kind and good to us, and the people of Jordan are going to be remembered by us.

FANTASTIC ~ thank you for playing!
