Peggy the Legs is an Earth Wanderer!! It would have been great if she went on with her African safari, but now she's in South America.
It would be so nice of people like GT in SA would drop in sometimes, but he's probably too busy catching fish out in Stilbaai!!
Otherwise, I KNOW there are many African or ex-African members on this site -- I have written to them and invited them over here -- and nothing happened!!

We had an amazing trip, but my heart stills belongs to Africa.
As for continuing with the African safari, it's very hard to work up the
enthusiasm to do that. I started a thread in the South American forum
http://www.food.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=380138
and only five people (four of them hosts) ever commented on any entry
there. So my energy goes into the blog, where there's a lot of feedback.

I left my heart in Africa many years ago and it still pulls at my heartstrings!
Love the Crown Birds
One of the Dukas - the local butchers mind you they probably buy it that same day so dont have to worry too much - hopefully

Peggy, I quite understand that -- you cannot possibly go back to the Africa thread; one does lose enthusiasm after such a long time.
As for the thread in the South American forum -- what a shame. I'll go and have a look, as I didn't know you started a thread there.
But that is the sad story of F.com now ... a startling lack of visitors, lurkers, active members. I don't know what to say. It simply drains my enthusiasm for trying anything in these moribund forums.

F.com has huge traffic, and maybe in the forums too.
It's just that no one says anything anymore.

Yes, the chat is the appealing aspect.
I find the Community Cafe interesting. People make a lot of comments, but
rarely comment on what other people have said. If it were a conversation
or chat, you'd think people weren't listening.
