    I know that after 9/11, the one thing that helped me get by was thinking about, and actually doing, preparing for a problem. At that time I starting becoming a prepper. Not a survivalist, which has a bad connotation, but someone that is realistic about what may come to past. Taking care of my family took first place in my thinking. I started planning a garden, storing food, and that sort of thing. I think everyone should do the same. Thoughts?

    I'm here...kind of.

    I stop by every few week or so. I haven't been on 'zaar much in the past few weeks for various reasons.

    I do love the ideas I get from here. I'm trying to balance what we're doing as far as food storage with we have too much and need to use it up. I had stock for 4-6 people, at most we'd only need to cover for 2-4 and most likely 2 since DD is on her own (with her own stockpile of food and such) and steps are with their mom (who has hopefully set up some supplies). I'm optimistic that we won't have that big of an emergency but we're prepared for one for up to 2 months without sweating it. It would get boring but we could do it.
