My sister and I use to buy this stuff at Costco in California that was on the spice isle and called "Flavo-rice". It was just that, falvoring for rice. It was deeeelicious! Sort of tasted like Mrs. Grass chicken soup - sort of. Well, Costco stopped carrying in a long time ago and we are still looking for the stuff.
I have seached all over the internet and come up empty handed so I wonder if I have the spelling wrong, or maybe it was taken off the market (oh home I wish we kept the empty container!).
Any help is greatly appreciated

Rice Seasoning Mix might help-read the reviews. I could not find "Flavo Rice" so maybe the name is off?

Hi, Merry! Click on Rice in a Jar--4 Versions or Rice Seasoning Mix for terrific recipes. If you give either a try, recipe reviews are very much appreciated.

Hi, Flavo Rice is available in Canada at Costco. I bought some the other day but have not tried it yet. In Canada it is packaged by Chef's Club International Inc. Ste- Therese, Quebec, Canada J7E 5S5. I am sure if you email (no email on the container) they could help you out.

Thank you

The ingredients are...
salt, dextrose, dehydrated vegetables (carrot, onion, red bell pepper, tomato, celery, leek) canola oil, spices, yeast extract, dried soya sauce, hydrolyzed plant ptoteins, (corn, soy), flavour.
It would be easier for me to mail a couple of containers to you...
I happened to find your post when I was looking to see what other recipes I could do with the Flavo Rice...I am going to experiment tomorrow on putting it on
bread cubes in the oven....I will also see how it taste in sour cream and mayo to make a dip..
Anyhow I hope the ingredient list helps.

Thank you - that really helps me quite a bit. I emailed Costco and they basically told me that I would have to go to the store and look for the product myself. What horrible customer service is that!!!
Anyways, with the list of ingredients I can try to replicate it at least, and I am super surprised there are no herbs in the mix, but I suppose it could be the "spices".
Thanks again
Mary.....

I used to be able to get it at BJ's I haven't looked in quite a while, I decided to Google it figuring I'd find it on Amazon, no luck but I'm going to continue searching. (East Coast)

If you know someone living in Canada and is planning on visiting you, you can still get it at Costco in Canada. Here is the webiste www.chefsclub.ca.

Hi Merry, not sure if you are still looking for the Flavo Rice or not, I found your post here as I was looking for the spice myself, I found a place online that sells all kinds of stuff but the draw back you have to pay shipping, here is the address for you, http://www.canadianfavourites.com it is a cool sigh. I also got it at costco and if I can find a costco that carries it again I will get a big supply I make a great rice pilaf with it.

I live in Ontario. Which Costco location did you find Flavo-Rice. I have called so many locations and the product is discontinued. I put this in practically everything I cook. Chicken, soup, dips etc.
Thanks,
Stepper

Hi JacintheB,
you sent this in May so if you are still sourcing the flavo-rice and are in the Mississauga area it's for sure at that location. They have like 30 left on the shelf. And it is discontinued. I had to drive nearly 2 hour just to get it.
Good luck,
Stepper
