I just joined today, great site. I sure hope an iPhone/Android app is in the works soon...that's where everything is moving these days. Keep us posted!
Thanks!

I would love an Android app. So many times when I go shopping that I would LOVE to be spontanious and just look something up. I ended up saving my cookbooks as favourites for now, but I would be more than happy to pay up to $5 for a user friendly ap (features like quick search, easy access to all of my cookbooks, get random recipe, converter etc)
I would be over the moon!

Yes, it's now nearing the end of Feb 2012, & I am still awaiting a food.com mobile app. Please bring one out. If there were enough functionality, I would actually pay for an account. As it is, no way.

iPad app, please! I've had my iPad for a month and it has revolutionized how I manage my recipes. I'd love to see an iPad app! Of course, I'd like to see more grocery stores with wi-fi, too

This site is useless to me until there is an app or at the very least a mobile version of the site.
Back to AllRecipes.com I guess.

I, too, would be willing to pay for a well-designed app. Hope it happens soon!

This site needs an android/iphone app or a mobile site. It's difficult to log in from an iphone to find my cookbooks, and I rely on my cookbooks. Also, tons of people have android phones these days. I think that it would be a deal-breaker for someone who is trying to decide which recipe site to use.

Is there an iPhone app coming out soon? If so, when? Just a mobile optimized is not the same.

I want an android app for food.com. It is the largest number of recipes on one site and usually I come here when I am looking for a recipe. An Android app would help this a great deal. And I believe it's a worthwhile investment for the company to make.
Please!

I need an app or a mobile enabled site SO badly!!! If I'm at the grocery store it takes me 5-10 minutes to get through everything to get to my cookbooks, and then they show up as unreadable characters and I can't see any of my recipes! Very disappointing for such a big name site!

I LOVE this site. It's intuitive and user friendly. When I found it I was surprised to not find an app for android...but figured it was likely to show up asap because surely they knew the users would expect that type of development for ease of useage for the site. Then today I find this thread. <sigh> I'm so incredibly disappointed. The first request for an app was in Dec of 2009? And the last reply by an employee was almost a year ago?!?!?!? I REALLY thought I'd found the site that was perfect for me...but seeing no quick solution in sight for such an essential feature ..... I guess I will return to my search. Please consider it a priority.

I concur with all of the above comments.
Today... a website is not complete with a mobile app alternative. I LOVE food.com and use it all the time, but the fact that you don't have a mobile app is incredibly limiting.
I am installing mounted iPads throughout the entire grocery store I own. I would have featured a food.com mobile app had there been one available. Now I am forced to find an alternative.
You are forcing otherwise loyal users to your competition by not offering a mobile app alternative.
Get with the times, or get offline.

I spent yesterday selecting recipes, & adding ingredients to my profile,
I go to the grocery store and...I have to try using the full website on my iphone due to no iphone app.
I get home with the ingredients, and go to pull up the recipe to cook it on my android tablet and..no app, & log in issues.
There is an app for almost everything. I can play virtual bagpipes on my phone, but can barely look at a shopping list.
Please get the app out!
