As the holidays approach, most of us switch into what I like to call "entertaining mode". We begin bookings, if you will. Our calendars fill up between friends and family luncheons and dinner commitments, our children's school activities, birthdays, and the 3 month express train of holiday parties which flows from Halloween through New Years (if not earlier and beyond for many of us).

Whether you are hosting the dinner or holiday party or simply a guest there is a good chance you may be in need of an appetizer. The beauty of the appetizer is that many of these little gems can be prepped ahead and make you look like you spent MUCH more time on them than you actually did. Don't worry ~ we won't tell a soul. icon_wink.gif During this busy season, we all need to stick together and share our kitchen secrets ~ every cook needs to feel the love.

Our focus is going to be on SEAFOOD APPETIZERS. Seafood and rich fish are a very decadent way to make your friends and family feel spoiled ~ something they might not afford themselves everyday. Make people feel pampered, as if they are being treated like royalty. icon_biggrin.gif These 1- bite Jewels will have everyone at the dinner or party looking at you like you are Julia Child reincarnate. Well, something close anyway.

Kinda makes me think of a comedian that talked about the directions for Pop Tarts....

    1. Open Wrapper
    2. remove pop tart from wrapper
    3. insert in toaster and lightly toast

"don't eat toothpicks" is classic....great sense of humor!
