Hi there,
went to Big Lots (Southern California) this week and found a couple German products esp. to satisfy my sweet cravings.
They had Zentis marmelade/jam, 4 or 5 different ones, Bahlsen Kekse/cookies, Liqueur Cakes with Rum from "Kuchenmeister", also the same brand marzipan flavored cake, "Hengstenberg" and "Kuehne" Sauerkraut, Red cabbage, Pumpernickel bread, Spekulatius cookies, Leibniz butter cookies, Stiefenhofer Spritzgebaeck/cookies.
I also saw duck in the frozen section of Ralphs ( I think it's "Kroeger" in other states).
Duck has always been a traditional Christmas meal in my family.

Aldi still has special German products, at least in the Midwest. I have been buying stollen, two a week, and will probably load up on it, since it should be good for a couple of months. The marzipan filled one is the favorite around here.

I wish there was an ALDI nearby.
I saw some Advent calendars, gingerbread cookies and Marzipan Stollen at Trader Joe's today.
