Thanks for your response and comments. Maybe if enough of us comment on this issue, we might be able to encourage food.com to make some changes.

Case in point: I found a member this morning (while searching for a recipe) who has taken the time to share hundreds of great recipes. Unfortunately, we will never see her as "Chef of the Day" simply because she did not post her personal photo. I know I am on my "soap box" about this issue, but I feel that all members on food.com are essential to making this a fun and exciting place to find and share recipes. And, these members have great stories to tell on their bios as well.

I have been a member since the recipezaar days and I spend a lot of time playing tag games, making and reviewing great recipes and posting my own recipes -- it is truly the site that I call "home". Hopefully, someone at food.com will give this suggestion some thought or a least provide a response.

    Thanks again,

Hi Nancy! wave.gif I am going out on a BIG limb here, but I have to agree with you, 110%. I think your point is very valid, and just because someone doesn't want to show their photo, (eee-gawds! I hate mine! and I'm quite embarrassed how I look....cause' I'm just an old farm girl icon_redface.gif - so I hated to put it there) to be shown, doesn't take away their contribution to this site.

I hope 'they listen, I really do.

BTW, I am deeply humbled and honored to be selected as "member of the month" ~ there are many, many, folks, (that don't have photos) that deserve this honor way more then myself. I hope they take heed.

Hugs, and thank you for always being in our tag games and showing your wonderful, beautiful, personality! I don't need to "see" you to know you shine like a star!

Thank you so much -- your are truly one of the dearest and sweetest people I have gotten to know on this website. And, you are one of the biggest reasons I call this website "home".

You definitely deserve to the "Chef of the Month".

    Love ya,

I too know many great members who have contributed much to the site. None have been or ever will be considered for chef of the day under this policy. How sad! It is truly us, the readers, who are missing out. Other sites feature icons why can't food.com? icon_sad.gif

I was selected as Chef of the Day recently and cannot find it in the archives. Can you help? Thank you.
