Go for it -- post a picture!!!
No I'm not going to.
I won't either. There's a reason I haven't joined Facebook.
But I know how much you've contributed, dear, even if no one else wants to acknowledge it. You are not unnoticed.
And sometimes treating people fairly is tedious and time-consuming. Worth it? I won't try to judge that.

UmmBinat can you post a picture where you cover up part of your face with your hand, a stuffed animal, a scarf, a platter, etc. ? Am getting wild here but trying to help you out I would LOVE to have you be featured. I have seen others do things like that. I know you are a humble person which I appreciate tremendously.
And wonder about policies as Sunday saw a recipe / photo featured that did not have a single review. ? I know, I know, different topic and different feature on front page, but really wonder about the inconsistent policy for ROD/POD.

It sounds tempting yet I won't post a photo of myself whatsoever.

Smiling at you - I tried. Their policy is inconsistent for ROD/POD like today.

These are the rules except when they aren't, I guess.

No but I'm sure technically that is not allowed either. Are they?

I didn't get a notice that there were new posts to this thread -- but just saw the picture of today's COTD!!!
Liza, this was your reply earlier in the week:
.
We had a seagull for ONE day...it was a glitch. the end.
And yet, here we are -- 5 days later and now it's a dog! Another glitch? When you have people who have contributed so much to this site and for whatever reason they may have, do not wish to post a picture -- while there has been a seagull and a dog featured within 5 days of one another, why not revise the requirements and delete the personal photo??? Eliminate the "tedious and time consuming" task.

There was a cat in there, too.

Whoops -- missed that one!!! I really think they need to review the photo policy. It's not being followed, so why have it? The people who have generously shared their recipes should be able to be COTD -- whether there is a photo or not. Plus who even knows if the pictures are really that person????

Pretty funny...so I thought we just kept getting unlucky and people were switching their profile pics to a cat, dog, seagull, their torso, etc at the last minute. And we were going to have to put a new process in place. Just talked to our intern who was helping me out with scheduling and she didn't know about the human face rule. She's been scheduling whatever! We'll be back to faces hopefully from now on.

OK -- That sounds a little better!!! I still would like to see the requirements changed but at least there is an explanation for why it happened.
