Thanks for the updates and like with anything uncontrollable or controllable in life, we can all but take one day at a time and takes things as they unravel
Glad Simon is progressing and KNOW you KNOW my humour by now...Please tell Simon not to worry because 1) most people aren't worth remembering and 2) some day I can't remember my own name lol lol
(you DO know my genuine meaning and thoughts)
re the DVT
While not the best of news (but not the worst too!), let's hope the treatment and recovery will be good, but sense the doctors will err on the side of caution to not travel (especially flying) asap...
We are thinking about you and Simon and LOTS of hugs from South Australia!!
WHOO HOO!

Thanks Mickey. Yes I know your humor well you and I think alike. I intend to go in and see him this morning, though visiting hours are only afternoons and evenings as I have clothes for him. Like most stroke paitents although minimal they do get anxious and he thought I could not find him :shock
Being Sunday I can't do much but have to find a long distance taxi or car company that can take us up north to stay with my sister. It's a good 6hrs drive! As they want to discharge him ASAP
as some of you know, staying with my sister will be another challenge lol, but she is kind enough to help out.

mmmmmmmmm perhaps you can break the trip up in smaller components and then when it is closer (maybe half way, perhaps you sister can come meet the two of you so you all can drive home together)
train? As sense would be a MONSTEROUS taxi bill for 6 hours!!! OMG!
Thanks knew you and understand my humour and genuine thoughts and hugs!

because of his DVT we have to be careful. my sister does not drive. things will sort themselves out.
I am sitting in a different hotel - had to leave the other one just for the one night as they were booked out for last night - before I started staying there, but can go back in the morning.
This hotel has doonas only that are far too heavy for me, but its all or nothing, I do wish that they used blankets as we dont all want to sleep under the same weights or thicknesses!!
I wonder what today will be like, I might walk into Redruth town centre today, its not far away, as long as its fine, we have had drizzle for the last few days...

Well after 2 courses of double strength anibiotics there infection is still there and another course is required and after xrays it was discovered there was not 1 but 3 teeth that need to removed and due to the tangled root system I have to go to a specialist and will have to go under to have them out because the root system is so tangled they will more than likely have to dig them out, so tomorrow go for a full mouth xray which the dentist should receive on Wednesday and then I can ring to get a specialist appointment and we take it from there otherwise not to bad and pain is very minimal (don't even need pain killers just get a tingle sensation every now and then.
Joy how is Simon progressing and how was the trip to your sisters? Hope he is recovering at a good rate.

Had the e-ray this morning and the dentist should have the results by next Wednesday and then it is off to the specialist, so we can only see how it goes.

OMG! Pat, that sounds a mess, i am sorry that you have to go through all that, its not nice at all, but lets hope that they can fix the problem. keep in touch and let us know how things go. hugs.
Simon is doing well, we have settled in to my sisters, and now her knee is playing up, so there are two of them with a leg up in the lounge room, and me doing the cleaning and cooking. Prawn curry for tonight. and mogul steak for tomorrow. but dont seem to have much time for anything else.
Simon has just gone for a short walk so thats good. he is a big nervous of forgetting which way to go, but if he feels up to it thats great, just a short walk and he has the phone with him - nice thing here is that as soon as he crosses the road he is in the town, its quaint and pretty.
its still going to be about 6 weeks if not more before we can return.
