I'm here Joy. I find people don't venture out much beyond the games lately icon_sad.gif

We had a few days away in Bright last week. It's quite a foodie area and we came home laden with food! We also stopped in Shepparton on the way home to buy more food at the cannery outlets.

I worked on Saturday, then visited with our son and daughter in law who live in Port Fairy (where I worked).

Today, our planned project is the division of ALL the family photos into a gift for each boy.

I've just got back from the dentist icon_sad.gif icon_lol.gif

We went up to Toowoomba last Sunday and this Sunday we're off to Brunswick.

Other than that it's just been work, work, work!

Jan I love the idea of dividing up the photos - we did that, and made sure that each one was labelled so they knew who was who- being winter time, it makes you want to do indoor things.

Jewelies. hope that your visit to the dentist went well - enjoy Brunswick!

Jubes, wow! the girls have grown since I saw their last photos! I bet they were so happy with their yellow belts too. hope that you are feeling great now.

me, I am off to the doc, to get something for the pain, as its bad enough to make me feel a bit nauseous, then I have made an appt with the physio, have to go private for that - but it will be worth it.

maybe I should not have gone with Simon to Wiltshire to his aunts 90th birthday..... she is still at home and quite a gad about, her daughter takes her all over. we got there just gone 12 noon and there were 30 other relatives there. she had a glass of red wine in her hand and when we left at 5 p.m. che was quaffing champangue - good on her!

well, jan, jewelies and jubes replied to joys thread so far.

The photos are a massive job we've discovered. Still at it hours later, but it is finally making a bit more sense.

I just got a message on facebook from a friend I haven't seen for years. I worked with her dad on a special school bus and she baby sat my boys about 19 years ago. We saw her last about 10 years ago and although I've looked for her, I couldn't find her as she's married.

Joy, you take care of yourself.

    Hi Joy,

I've been here, just reading post, I think it's called lurking icon_smile.gif

I've been "nursing" my daughter for the last two week, she has a bad cough. She is such a dear thing, never complains, even though it looks like she going to cough her lungs out. I kept bring her to a doctor and he kept saying that it's her Asthma. Then last Thursday her teacher heard the cough and said she thinks its whooping cough. I asked the emergency doctor, if she could be tested on that Thursday and doctor was sure she didn't have whooping cough, because she was vaccinated (thank goodness). Friday afternoon I got a call from another doctor in the practice saying she has whooping cough and needs to be on antibiotics ASAP.

I have also been booking our next holiday, we are going to Cyprus for 2 weeks icon_smile.gif Then United Arab Emirates (I'm nervous and excited at the same time)

Joy hope your physio appointment goes well.

Jan sounds like a fun project

Jewelies have fun at Brunswick (need to google it), Little Miss keeps asking about when we are going to see you and the girls again.

Jubes - Nadene and Holly have grown so much. They look like they enjoy karate

Hi Joy, I can really empathise with your sciatica problem - I have suffered from it off and on since my nursing days.
I am lying around a fancy hotel in Singapore at the moment! icon_surprised.gif
We are treating ourselves to a child-free week to celebrate 20 years of wedded bliss!

Jan - well done on the photo's. It is a job that I start periodically, but never finish. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hey Amanda - enjoy..Singapore is a lovely place!

Jan photos become more of a problem as you first start to sort them out - then suddenly there is a light at the end of the tunnel... isnt it lovely to be able to catch up with friends after so many years... sometimes modern technology can be great!

Chef FloWer.. I do so hope that your little girl starts to feel better soon, whooping cough is always such a worry...

you will love Cyprus, we had such a lovely time there, which must be about 6 years ago now!

my physio appt went off o.k. but i visited the doc first, something I dont usualy do. he gave me anti inflamatories etc

its not just my lower back, but all the muscles up one side of my spine have tightened and its dropped one shoulder. hee thats not the one I thought...... it would happen to. as my shoulder bag hangs of my right side./

i am off to bed soon, with my tablets...... I want to get in as muh sleep as I can, hope to chat again soon, its nice icon_smile.gif

Jubes, I meant to say what pretty girls you have.

It started out foggy here but is lifting and is turning out a beautiful day. Lots of people are out walking their dogs.

I hope Little Miss is feeling much better soon. Whooping cough is very nasty.....even when you've been immunised.

Have a wonderful time in Cypress. Will you be catching up with family while you are there?

yes,s I hope that she is feeling better, thats nasty.

I loved Cyprus when we went for a visit. aphrodite pools everywhere! the hills were lovely, we stayed in Phafos (sp)

my neighbour is from there, and they have given me some lovely recipes.

after physio yesterday, I feel 'not that good' I know it will pass, but to be honest it was more like being on the rack in the tower of London icon_lol.gif

thankfully, I usually have lots of frozen meals that I have cooked - its useful at a time like this!

Jubes and Joy, Little Miss seen the doctor today, she is no longer "infectious" but she will have the cough for 100 days.. icon_eek.gif

Yes my parents were both born in Cyprus and they went there for a holiday at the start of they year. They both decided they like it so much they rented a house for a year and invited us over. My in-laws decided to pay half of the air flights for us. (yes hubby's parents and my parents compete with each other) we aren't complaining. I can't wait to try fresh Haloumi/Hellim cheese! Apparently it's the best Haloumi/Hellim cheese on earth. We are renting a car, so we will put Aphrodite pools and Paphos as places to visit on our schedule.

Jubes, I will catch up with heaps of relatives but I mostly want to see the old architecture of Cyprus and taste the wonderful Cypriot food.

Joy, I hope you fully recover soon, when a foodie is to sick to cook, you know they aren't feeling well.
