Marie Louise sent it regular post, so there's no tracking number. Karen never got it, but has alerted her post office she is expecting a parcel...Marie Louise is not sure if she wrote her return address on it, but thinks she has, as she usually does.

Having seen the photos of this amazing heart project, it's devastating to think it lost, simply because of a lack of tracking number and possible lack of return address, both outside and inside. If this venture is started again, perhaps that can be mandated, just to insure it's safe delivery.

I'm so sorry, evelyn. Pat let us know at Kitten's. I hope the photos provide some comfort to you.

Yes, absolutely, if such a project were to happen again, I think tracking would be required - but it would be an additional monetary burden on the sender, wouldn't it? I'd hate to burden people even more.

I have written to both Marie Louise and Karen asking them to contact their post office at a national (rather than topical) level for lost items. We certainly have enough pictures of the apron to make it easily identifiable should it be lying on a shelf somewhere.

I am as devastated as anyone that the apron has gone missing. I can assure you all, and promise with all of my heart and integrity that I did post the apron. When it arrived at my place it was in a bubble envelope which as worn and torn. I took great care to repack it into a sturdy cardboard box mailer. One of the ones which I use to post the dolls that I make all over the world. My husband took it to the post office and it was sent on to Karen. There is no record of it as he was told at the Post Office that it was impossible to track items once they left Great Britain. That is why it was not insured or tracked. I had no reason to believe that anything would go awry. I am sorry that this has happened, but I will not be made to feel to blame for it's having gone missing. I have done nothing wrong and in fact did my best to make sure that it left my home in better shape than it had arrived. I, for one, will NOT be participating in anything like this again. I've been made to feel like a cheat and a thief, which I am most assuredly not.

Marie Louise - have I made you feel that way? I honestly hope I haven't, because it has never crossed my mind ONCE that you are either a cheat or a liar!!! I have stated countless times that the apron has gone missing and that it may be lying on a post-office shelf somewhere. I do apologise if you read anything to make you feel badly in any of my posts. I do feel badly about the apron going missing, and that must come out loud and clear, but I have never accused you!

I feel as badly as anyone about this Evelyn, maybe even worse because I was the last person to see it. I know I haven't said anything in this thread, but in all honesty I had totally forgotten that it existed. I don't come on Zaar much anymore. I am not accusing you of making me feel like a cheat and a liar Evelyn, but I do feel like some people think that I am. If I could wave a magic wand and make the apron appear, trust me, I would do so. I am truly sorry for this happening. I was not negligent in my handling of it, nor in my posting of it on to Karen.

That's such good news, Pat! Please include me in the new apron. I participated in the first one and would like to sign the replacement apron, too.

O'kay I've promised Evelyn I will start this off for her so by the end of next week I will start collecting names, have the thread and questionaire all set up ready to go and I was thinking of a banner this time round so if anyone could do that for us that would be great.
