My husband tells me about a can opener he used to have that worked like a p-38, but had a full-sized handle. It was stainless steel with plastic handle, could be tossed in the dishwasher. Because it had no moving parts, it worked great forever. It was made by a Swedish company, but we've been unable to find a retail outlet (online or otherwise) in the U.S. Has anybody heard/seen anything like this? We've been through several manual can openers in the last year, probably because we do put them in the dishwasher and the hinge/blade mechanisms rust.
