My absolute favorite crockpot soup
Crock Pot Stuffed Cabbage Soup
I've made it with both brown rice and barley with good results. I managed to get one container out of the first batch to freeze and it did freeze well.
I love all the soup suggestions. I'll be busy!

It's OK, I just didn't want to steal someone else's thunder!
I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. I think I'm making a batch this week. We're going to my MIL's on Saturday and I wanted to take her some next time I made it. It's colder than all get out in Ohio this week so I'm sure DH wouldn't mind a bit coming home to some soup on Friday (he's out of town part of the week for business).

I'm not a purist, so I often take non-CP recipes and plop them in the ole Crock. I keep cooked ingredients in the freezer often, so making these is a cinch with freezer and pantry items.
Venus De Milo Soup with tiny shell pasta
Beef Barley Soup with the cheapest beef on bones I can find
My verison of Ww 4 Point Taco Soup, with turkey instead of beef
Any version of baked potato soup, or broccoli soup (I morph the few I have, depending on ingredients I have on-hand) -- they're all good
I also have a Holly Clegg recipe for Butternut Bisque which is divine, and, of course, there's DH's famous split pea soup (aka "hot lava"), which he keeps close to the vest.

Oh my, I've been looking all over this form for the "soup/stew" subject, and here it is!
This is my own recipe, you don't have to make this in January- actually now is a good time to especially in these cold months in the northern states!
I posted this recipe Hobbit Stew. I have never tried making this yummy stew in a crock pot before, but I am sure it will come out fine! I hope you enjoy! [/url]
