icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif I hear you girls.........It's that old saying that you won't need it until after you've thrown it away.
I sold my juicer in a garage sale a few years ago (hardly ever used it) and then my lemon tree produced tons of lemons. My DD also had a bumper crop of oranges. icon_rolleyes.gif
Luckily, DD found one in the resale shop for $3.00 and gave it to me.........it is much nicer than the first one I had, so I learned a lesson of "don't toss it too soon", even tho I got a better one.

Some of our 'tossed too soon's, a gadget needed to make our soda stream machine work, the actual gas bottle For our soda stream machine, someone elses soda bottle (is that what you call it?) for Their soda stream ... I'm happy to say that these were all tossed by DH, but in all fairness, I did understand the confusion about someone elses bottle, (we'd never seen one like that before), and if they'd called us to thank us for inviting them, and mentioned the bottle, straightaway, instead of a month later, it wouldn't have happened.... icon_rolleyes.gif

We no longer have a soda stream machine.... icon_lol.gif

I've had a SodaClub (Soda Stream) unit for years but my local source went out of business and haven't found another local place for the chargers and I refuse to ship the replacements back to the parent company ever since I find out it is highly illegal. Company's can get permits for shipping CO2 cartridges but individuals cannot.

I still have the syrup but I'm going through withdrawal on the bubbles up my nose.

I guess husbands are like gadgets--some are more useful in the kitchen than others. icon_lol.gif

Some are very useful and not just in the kitchen ! icon_lol.gif
(ps thats not meant to be crude ! I do 95% of all the cooking in our house, the visiting grand children do some and my wife does the rest... lol... I'm also pretty handy with "diy" which is what I was eluding to !)

ps does anyone remember the original soda stream?.. the old soda water makers with what looked like a tiny divers air tank that you screwed in and it put the gas into water, you would then press a handle on the side to dispense into your drinks etc... Heston Blumenthel used one for making extra bubbly batter on one of his shows !

I still have a couple of the original Seltzer Bottles, with the one-shot CO2 cartridges, and they work great, but nowadays the SodaStream has gone big time.

One of mine has the wire mesh....

but I have not been able to find the cartridge holder to charge it.

They are collector items, but they are available if one has the bucks. icon_smile.gif
