I got a great deal on those multi packs of Nabisco cookie and cracker snacks at Meijer's. I get them for the kids for their YMCA day. They and all the other kids always want a snack from the vending machine. I let mine pick a snack from home so they won't feel left out.
They were on sale for 1/2 off and if you bought 3 you got 3 dollars off. That made them $1.47 for a 12 pack of snacks. If we were to buy them from the vending machine then I would have to pay twice that to buy snacks for all 4 of the kids.
I'm so proud of myself.

In my Aldi's, 8oz mushrooms, 2 pk of red and yellow peppers and 3 lb bags of onions are all 99 cents. Frozen corn has been .65 for quite a while now. My dehydrator has gotten a work out on the corn and will be doing mushrooms tomorrow!

Tonight while making a quick run through a local store
I just browsed down the produce isle. Bingo! Three 1 lb. packages of baby carrots 2 days from "best if used by date" wrapped together for 1.49. Thus I bought 2, giving me 6 lbs. of baby carrots for $3.00! They are already flash frozen and in freezer bags. These are about the only kinds of carrots I'll ever buy, so this was a steal for me. I don't eat enough carrots due to the price of be "baby" ones I like. I can see many recipes to come to use up this deal!
I sure as heck didn't find any "steals" in the meat section, though!

Saw an ad for 5 ounce can of Star-Kist tuna
3/$1.00. And it was limit 9 cans per transaction,
but doing a few different transactions between me &
my SO we bought 36 cans of tuna.
Some people might think I'm crazy.
But that's a GREAT deal.
Now I need to figure out what to do with all that tuna.

HOLY COW! That is an awesome buy! With the swarmer weather on it's way, tuna salad, tuna noodle salad, and with lent Tuna fish Casserole would be on my to be made lists.
I am happy to find tuna on sale for 79 cents a can! I tried the Aldi tuna and did not care for it and neither did my family.

I was in a local Walgreens waiting on prescriptions when I stumbled across the freezer section. There were many items marked at .75 cents. There were Breakfast Burritos, Taquitos, Bagged meals with chicken/veg/rice, totinos cheese pizzas (lg) All of the frozen items had sell by dates that were still 2 wks away. We scored a shopping cart full. Bradenton Fl

To use some of that tuna, you could make Tuna/Feta/Black Olive Pizza ~

I LOVE Aldi!
I've always bought their frozen Tilapia, but only tried their frozen shrimp this week ~ paid $6.99/lb for raw in-shell jumbo shrimp! That sure beats what I've been paying for little puny-sized shrimp at Kroger!
Baked Shrimp in Italian Dressing
I'm not a milk drinker and don't always have fresh milk on hand. I stock up on 12-ounce cans of evaporated milk at Aldi @ $.69 each ~ that beats Kroger price by a mile!
Note to Shapeweaver: Aldi did NOT have the Dubliner cheese this week ~ maybe it was only stocked for St Patty's Day? I'm so glad I have a Trader Joe's nearby so I won't go into Dubliner withdrawal!
