I ran accross this as I was looking for the yeast question. Do any of you new cooks out there know about this:

When you are making a regular or boxed chocolate cake if you add 1 tbsp instant coffee grounds it gets really moist. I just learned this, so it may sound silly to those of you that already know. I just wanted to share with those that don't, since it was in our tip/hint section in our family cookbook.

Good hint, also sour cream, 7-Up for white cakes, Coca Cola for dark cakes and of course, a box of pudding! Di

Bridgette, coffee really seems to enhance the flavour of chocolate (my Deep Dark Chocolate Cake recipe has coffee in it), so that's a great idea to use even when making a box cake...thanks!

Here we can go to the store and buy Cake mix in a box-just add eggs, water or oil and bake. Di
