Welcome to I Recommend...

Hello everyone! My name is Vicki, and I'm taking over as the new I Recommend Tag Game hostess. Please join us in the fun as we tag, make, eat and review some super recipes! This tag is a twist from the normal tags in that you actually tag a review that the previous poster has submitted, not one of their own recipes. Using Puppitypup's words, "Think of it as getting a great recipe from one friend and passing it on to another."

Everyone is welcome to play. The only requirement is that you've tried and reviewed at least 10 recipes.

Quick Rules

1. Find out who is IT and check out their recommendations (reviews).

2. Choose one of those recipes to make and post a reply to let us know. Include the chef name, recipe number and recipe.

3. Make that recipe within two weeks, review it and report back.


Detailed Rules

The object of this game is to prepare and review recipes that other Zaar members have already tried and reviewed. Basically, you check out the reviews shared by other players and try recipes based on their recommendations.

WHO CAN PLAY? Any Zaar member who is currently in good standing in all the recipe games in the GAMES forum and who has REVIEWED a minimum of 10 recipes.

To see if you are on the RESTRICTED PLAYER LIST, check the list several messages below. If you are on the list, you must clear your name and be removed before you can tag again.

HOW TO PLAY:
Find out who is currently "IT" (the last player to commit to preparing a recipe).

Check out the "REVIEWS" posted by that player and select a recipe that you also think you would enjoy.

Post a reply here, letting us know which recipe you will be preparing before another player beats you to it. Post the name of the person who posted the recipe (as opposed to who reviewed it) along with the recipe number twice (like so: recipe #ooooo #ooooo).

The next player will then choose a recipe from your reviews.

The only time you are NOT IT is if you adopt a tag in the superhero section described below. Your reward is fame and glory and a little bitty charm by your name. (sorry, but we work on a limited budget )

Prepare and review the recipe within 2 weeks time, then report back to this thread to let us know you'd made the recipe. Photos are welcome too! Your tag will be marked as complete when your review has posted.

WHEN DO OTHERS GET TO PICK FROM MY REVIEWS?
When you tag a recipe from the reviews of the last person to be IT, you become IT. Then the player coming after you will pick from your reviews. Then THEY become IT, and so on.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I TAG THE WRONG PERSON, OR TAG A RECIPE THA TI NOT FROM THE “IT” PLAYERS REVIEW OR SELECT A ZAAR RECENTLY REVIEWED RECIPET THAT WAS NOT IN THE MOST RECENT GROUP POF REVIEWS POSTED? If you mis-tag, you automatically agree just by playing the game that you will make the correct tag, even if you already made and reviewed the wrong recipe. This is a rule in ALL the tag games, not just here. If it is a big issue, you can always cancel the tag.

WHAT IF I DON’T GET MY RECIPE REVIEWED ON TIME? Not a problem. Just ask for an extension and you will get another 2 weeks to submit a review.

You may select a recipe that someone has made in this game before, as long as the recipe is in the reviews of the player who is "IT".
Obviously, you cannot select a recipe you have reviewed before, since you cannot review it twice. Also, since it is in poor taste, you cannot tag a recipe and tag it in another tag game at the same time. Doing so will count your tag as a mis-tag, and you should select again before you can continue play.

You may not tag recipes on another's behalf. Should they wish to play, they must do so from their own account.

Also, should a mistake be made by you when making your tag, you imply by playing that you will make a correct tag, even if you have already prepared the incorrect recipe. But this can be waived if really necessary.

If you don't make the deadline for your recipe, it will be placed in the overdue tags list. Overdue tags are no big deal.

The restricted list is a big deal.

As tags are completed (with review posted), they are removed from the open tags list and placed into the
completed tags list further down the page.

Vickie - I have been wanting to make that recipe but it is like the strawberry pie I had tagged in another game...everytime I bought the blasted fruit my kids would eat up the ingredients before I even got around to baking. Yesterday I bought the apples & I have had to hide them in my office of all places!
