icon_eek.gif OMGosh is right. Between the rhubarb jam, and those muffins I can barely make it up to sit on the couch. Both are so lovely in color and photo drool.gif (drool)

As far as our rhubarb~HokiesLady~me and my big grandi-0-SO mouth.

When our "helpers" (which coincidently) include my boys; went to mow last week, they rode right over the stalks and everything, all 50 sheared off like a "buzz" cut that young boys used to get at the start of the summer.

    So much for my exclaiming~ "But.....but......but.....didn't ya see those red stalks icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif " icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif icon_eek.gif

    "No." was the reply.

    "Oh." icon_confused.gif

It would kill me to have to go to the market to BUY rhubarb after that! So I guess you are taking a sabbatical from rhubarb recipes this season? LOL

Maybe make your boys pay for any you want to purchase??

I'm still just trying to think what they thought those large plants with the big thick red stalks and wide leaves actually were? It sure does not look like grass or weeds..... and 50 of them!! Oh well lesson learned...maybe put them on a rhubarb diet for a while - they won't forget again. LOL icon_wink.gif

Sabbatical would be the word of the day, when speaking of torn down rhubarb. rotfl.gif

Speaking of sabbaticals.....(we aren't taking one when it comes to the dawn of our the new game) thread started, up and running July 7th.

Go check it out, has all the information you would ever want to know. icon_biggrin.gif
