Searching for Nestea Instant Tea

Chef Sammi, I know exactly what you're talking about as I've been drinking the stuff for over 40 years! Needless to say, a continued supply is mandatory!

Probably almost a decade ago I realized the product was no longer available in Alberta & I went searching for it. The company advised me it was no-longer available in Canada but was still available in the US so I got my supply from visits to my cousin in Montana. When I moved East I took a good supply with me, but that supply is coming to an end & I too am looking for a source. As it is still available in the US, I had hoped that I could order over the net, but failing that, a road trip will be necessary to secure a supply.

I was heartened to hear the product may be available to commercial merchants. Have you pursued that option? Also, have you contacted Nesle to see if they would sell by case lot directly to a private (Cdn.) individual? I'd appreciate any info you can share with me, & I'll do the same for you.

I'd also be interested in your recipe for "Russian tea".

I have some information on this since I'm interning this summer at the plant that actually makes their instant tea. It is located in Freehold, New Jersey and the only stuff shipped out of here comes in 900-1000lb bags, 140lb barrels, or 50 lb (22.7 Kg) boxes. Considering the normal store bought bottle is 85 grams that is a lot of tea. The 85g containers are packaged at Waverly, Iowa. Your best bet might be having your friends or relatives in the US ship it to you. The tea powder is light weight, but the glass jar adds to it.
