    Hello,
I have been snowed under with things lately, and had not really had any change in my weight loss, I had hovered around the same weight for a few weeks.
I have now lost a total of 37lbs, but the biggest thing for me is the fact that I am managing to exercise 5 out of 7 days. We got a wii fit 3 weeks ago and I am loving it, I go on it each morning for 30 minutes and am really starting to see a change in my shape and even in the way my clothes fit. It may not work for some people, but the way I look at it is, before that I would never have gone to a gym or class so something is better than nothing.
Keep up the good work ladies, I think we are all doing this the right way and being realistic about it. Some weeks will be better than others, but life is like that isn't it! icon_lol.gif

FF, I am really interested in that Wii fit thing. I have seen the ads on telly. What all is involved? What all do you need to use one? I am assuming you need a Nintendo Wii console to beging with and then the fit thing is an accessory???

Marie, you do need the Wii console, then you buy the fit board and software for around 70. Expensive I know, but I joined a gym a few years ago and was paying 30 p/m and only managed to go a couple of times before it became hard getting time and sitters. I have clocked up over 8 hours exercise time and can check my BMI and weight as I go.
If you have a look on you tube there will be videos of people in action on it. One of the teachers at work showed me a video of her hubby doing the hula hoop - I certainly don't want to see my large behind shaking around so I do it at 6 am when mine are all asleep icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif

    WAY TO GO ANGELA!!

I am so stuffy this week, I don't feel like eating (probably a good thing). That, and my throat feels like it ought to be hanging in a butcher shop.

Been weeding and working outside, that helps, but that is on hold until the allergies settle down.

    Monday: BBQ
    Tuesday: Chicken cordon bleu (DS)
    Wednesday: Roast beef.
    Thursday: Meatloaf.
    Friday: Grilled chops.

Angela, that's really good going. It's great you have found something you enjoy like that. That makes it so much easier.

Raquel, I hope your allergies are gonna calm down a bit. I've had a couple of bad days suffering from hayfever, but this week it seems better. maybe it's because the weather has cooled considerably and it's raining, not as much pollen in the air.

Marie, I've also liked the look of the wii board on telly, but I'm no good at exercising in the house. I either have to go to the gym or out running. I've tried dvds and some playstation execise programme but neither worked for me.

Just to say that I am still following healthier easting and losing. I have been so busy with the world tour and my wedding is in a week and a half so I have fallen behind posting in any threads that aren't tour related. When I get back from my honeymoon I will get back to posting in here. No doubt I will have some weight to re-lose after the trip.

Well, I am back and had my weighin today and I lost half a pound this month...lol. Really though, I had gained something like 4lbs on the honeymoon and busted by backside to drop it before I had to face the nurse.

So, I am chilling for two days and finally making RSC recipes (not diet stuff this time around) and then Sunday I hope to remember to come back in here and start posting menus again.

I am going home to the States for Thanksgiving at the end of November and even though I don't like to set myself time stamped goals, I would like to try to lose 17 pounds by then. It is probably too much to reach for but that would take me to my 100 pound lost mark. So, as near as I can get to that the happier I will be.

Well ladies....I can see no one has popped their head in here for a loooonnnng time, however I thought I would resurrect it! icon_biggrin.gif

It's probably too close to Christmas to be doing this, but I took the bull by the horns this week and joined a Slimming World club! Not the first time I hasten to add! icon_rolleyes.gif I have done well in the past on their plan, but I find that too much carbs doesn't suit me now I'm older. I find it bloats me out and puts the weight on really quickly. I have also done well on a modified version of Atkins, but find that too strict as i really do love pasta and rice....fussy wotsit aren't I?! So my intention is to do mostly red days on Slimming World and see how I get on.....wish me luck! I'll report back.....

    Well done Patchwork!

I have lost back some - I ended up gaining back my original 10 that I had lost and 10 besides. Just could not shove back from the table.

Well, the house we bought has stairs - and the laundry facilities as well as the freezer and main pantry are in the basement. So, as you can imagine, I haul myself up and down the stairs several times a day. To date, I have lost 10 pounds. so I am back where I started. But I am trying to eat healthier and as soon as I get the house totally sorted, I am going to be walking in the afternoons.

I have a hard time doing without my breads and the occasional potato, so I have a hard time with Atkins.

Hang in there, onwards and upwards!
