I have LOTS of individual cookbooks. When they come up on the left hand column where I would "save" recipes.. they are NOT in alphabetic order... When you pull up all your cookbooks as if you were going to search them for a recipe you've previously saved.. there is the option of looking at them in alphabetical order.. Is there a way to make the left hand column in alphabetical order?

Welcome to 'zaar, Nora. Nice to meet a new friend.

Click on the "My Cookbooks" link at the top of the page.
That should bring up all your cookbooks.

Right under where it says "My Cookbooks" on that page is different ways to sort your cookbooks in very small print.

The first option is alphabetical. Click on that and it should sort the cookbooks that way.

I'd like to invite you over to the Cookbooks Forum...check out the first two threads at the top of the list.

Hi Molly.. Like I said in my post.. In that circumstance it allows you to see them in alpahbetical order...

When you go from a recipe- to save it... your cookbooks come up on a left hand column.. How do I get THOSE to list in alphabetical order? Thanks

You need to click the "reorder my cookbooks" link located just above the sort by options on your My Cookbooks page.

Move your cookbooks around to the order you like, then click DONE REORDERING to save your changes.

I have tried this several times and it doesn't work. I am trying to get the drop-down list of cookbooks that appears when I click 'save to cookbook' to appear in alphabetical order. Any Ideas?

If you are using Chrome, for some reason it will not save your order when you use Add to Cookbook. Staff is aware of this, but I don't know whether there is any ETA on a fix.

If you are not using Chrome, please let Mary know which browser you are using. Do your cookbooks come up alphabetically when you select All My Cookbooks and look at all of them?
