    Directions for a Mr. Coffee Bread machine (The Bread Maker)

    I bought (The Breadmaker/by Mr. Coffee). some years ago. The unit has 9 settings and make up to 2 pound loafs. The good news is it still works. However, my my issue is that the manual & recipe book have been lost.

    My main concern is the operating manual. If anyone has one or can help please let me know.

    I would hate to have to toss it and buy another one as it still works. Mainly looking for diretions for the setting. If somone has recipes for the machine, it would be bonus!

    Sometimes manuals are available online, but I have been very unsuccessful thus far. I'll keep looking, and let's hope that someone here also has this machine.

    Can you figure out the model number? I suspect one of the other manufacturers actually made it, and sometimes by googling the model number you can find the same machine under a different nameplate (Sunbeam or Oster or whatever).

    I found out it is a BMR200. Unsure if that helps. there does not seem to be a lot on the internet on Mr. Coffee Bread machines.

    Then again, I assume they did not have a lot of success with it icon_smile.gif. However, mine still works and if I can figure out all the function I will be doing much better.

    How do you like the results when you use this machine? I want to get my mom a new breadmaker for her birthday. I don't know what kind she is currently mangling ingredients with, but all her loaves come out stale. I believe she originally purchased it from walmart over 10 years ago.

    So I found a BMR200 for sale and I am leary of purchasing as I have yet to find it subjectively reviewed.

    I use a Breadman Ultimate with the little add-in dispenser and I love it, but it's not in production nor can I find a used one in my price range.

    Please, can you tell me if the bread is soft & velvety in texture or if the machine is tricky or easy to use?

    The bread produced really is more a function of the recipe than of the machine. There are many recipes posted on Zaar, if you don't care for the ones that come with the machine.

    Sadly this doesn't seem to be the case with the machine my mom still uses. I use many of the same recipes in my Breadman that she uses in her unknown brand machine and the results are as different as they could be.

    I still have my bread machine all these years later. Still works as good as the day I bought it. It is a good machine heavy duty and will last for years and years. My is proof positive of that.

    I have two of these "mr coffee" bmr200 breadmakers. They slightly overcook the loaves. I wish the cycles were adjustable... The flavor of the bread depends on 1) the ingredients and 2) how long the yeast is allowed to rise. I find the loaves inferior to totally home-made. Probably the best way is to remove the loaf a few minutes before the cycle ends, or just use the machine to mix the dough & let it rise in a bowl & bake in the oven.
