Hi Cathy, I can certainly relate with not being able to sleep and the breakthrough pain, although, I must admit, I forget the problem you have which causes this. Since our last communications, I have became a nurse, and now I have developed pretty severe Fibro Myalgia.....a disease I used to turn my nose up at as not being a real disease! Let me assure you, when you are up and down all night and not closing your eyes for more than 15 or 20 minutes at the time and battling the almost constant pain.....it is real.

So glad to hear from you. Wish I could help with the picture posting, but even though I manage to get it done occasionally, I am NOT good at explaining it. I do know that Dreamgoddess has some picture posting instructions over in the Table Settings forum. That may help some.....check it out!!

We are off to Mobile today to take Benny to the Urologist. He has a kidney stone on the move. We have been kinda looking for this to happen, since we already knew the stone and these sort of things usually happen following a stressful time for him.....and this summer has been extremely stressful.

Boy oh howdie do I ever need to learn how to downsize those pics...lol.

You all seem so busy, what with the upcoming weddings, work, and families. Not to mention all the hosting you all are doing...looks as if you are all moving up in the Zaar world.

Jelly girl, not sure how you do it all...loosing your dear SIL, DD's upcoming wedding, working now as a nurse, and hosting here too. Lord lady no wonder you have breakthrough!!! You are quite the little workhorse, someone needs to tell you WHOA!!!

Susie, I am so excited to get back in action here in Zaar and am truely excited about PAC starting in less than 4 hours. Gonna take a short nap soon, but plan on being a my puter by 5:30am so I can get my pick in before someone else grabs it. I already have guests invited over to help me eat the first of the meals tomarrow night.

Well, shoot talk to you all soon I hope.

Hugging you all in abstencia ( spelling? someone from the legal world)

Cha, you crack me up......didn't look at the dates as you were catching up did ya?! icon_lol.gif

Wedding was in 2007, and I now have a beautiful 7 month old grand daughter. And she has been the light of our lives.

Just lost my beloved SIL about 3 weeks ago, so that is still rough....her birthday was last week, just 1 week to the day following her death. She would have been 57. It has been really rough on everyone. Benny now has 2 remaining siblings. His brother died in 2005, and as bad as it was for him to lose him....his brother's death was expected....in reality he drank himself to death. At one point he was on the liver transplant list and was doing wonderful, then he started back drinking. Once he tested positive for alcohol, he was removed from the list and could not be put back on....he knew that this would happen, because the doctors warned him if he tested positive, that would be it. But Judy died of Pulmonary Fibrosis....strong family history of this disease....and it is genetic. She is the first of our generation to come down with this disease. She never smoked, drank...ate good.....in actuality did everything right to live a healthly life, then died of this terrible disease that simply suffocates you because your lungs harden like rock.....they had already talked to her about lung transplants, but she did not live long enough to even get on the transplant list.

Now about me.....love nursing......to a point, but am now looking for a management type nursing job, due to the back. Hoping to find something in a long term nursing facility so that I can still have contact with patients.....I happen to love the older patients, so for me this will be great. I did interview for a job yesterday, interview went well, now just a waiting game.

Well, I guess I had beter get off of here and check out a few more things around Zaar.....I have been active in lurking, but not very active in participation.....trying to get back into being more active.

Well goodness me, and slap me silly!!! icon_redface.gif Guess I should look at the dates huh? Congrats on the new grandbaby...I'll tell you what, You think there is no greater love than that you have for your children then you get a grandbaby just to prove you wrong.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you on the new job prospects, I know you will find just what you are looking for cuz you are One Great Lady!!!

I have been spending most of my day today between canning up salsa and tomatoes, picked 10 gallons today out of my garden...and trying to adopt a chef or two in PAC. Got one baby, but can't seem to get my Seasoned Chef of choice to post an adoption so I can adopt her...doggone it anyway.

Have taken the extra juice from my tomatoes, added some seasoning and vegetables boiled it all down, and gonna make myself a zippy little beverage for tomarrow morning. Not supposed to eat tomatoes cuz they mess with my digestive tract so much, but figure no peelings and no seeds how much harm can it do. Going to give it a shot anyway cuz I truely do love tomatoes. If it works out will supersize the recipe, and tweek it a bit...then will post it.

Well kiddo going to go take a nap whilst my meds are still working, will be back up in a couple of hours to check out more of the Zaar world. You have a great and fantastic evening, and even brighter day tomarrow.

OMG!!! Whilst I was having my little pity party and feeling as if I had fallen of the tallest precipise in the world, our sweet Kittencal had a huge loss of her own. I feel so bad cuz I wasn't there for her like she was for me. Wanted to z-mail her. but she isn't taking mail from here. Does anyone know an e-mail addy or even a snail mail addy for her?

I have just gotta let her know that I care, and miss her terribly.

If ever I even start to sound like I could go into the Poor Lil Me mode again, would someone please give me a swift boot to the bumm.

I don't have her e-mail address, but you could reach her on her website: http://kittencalskitchen.com

She started it just after DH passed away. Just threw herself into it as a way to heal. Sure she would love to hear from you.

I stopped getting notifications from this thread and decided to see if anything was going on.
Jelly, I am so sorry about your SIL. The photos you posted are wonderful. I hope things are getting better for your family.
Lynda! I am so happy to see you and you are beautiful! Thanks for the update on your life. I bet your community is glad to have you around and getting the school fundraiser and parents group up and running! I am sure it is a done of work but it is greatly appreciated!
Kiwi, I remember those car trips. Now I can sit back and laugh but they were not fun when it was happening icon_biggrin.gif . My family (really my husband's family) reminds of yours. A lot of drama! I always said that I did not need to watch a soap opera because we were living one. One reason I am happy we moved to the west coast.
I am still working as an event planner (part time). Just did a big company picnic last week that went really well. I have 2 more small events coming up in the next few months.
This week was Back to School nigh at the high school for my son. He is driving now so that frees me up but also makes me sad. Then I moved my middle daughter into her dorm. My oldest is still away at college also. Hubby was away on business. So it is getting a little lonely!!
I would love to hear some updates from Nimz, Jan, Toni, Rita, Kitten, Leslie and susie. I have been to Kitten's web site. Very impressive.
So happy that we all are keeping in touch!
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

    Hugs,
    susie

~Nimz~ is just the same. No drama here. My Mitz is trying to get pregnant. No success yet. icon_cry.gif Toni just resigned as a host in the game forum which makes me so sad. I don't know what I'll do without her. But understand how busy she is. Ruby survived Dave running over her head (the DA). We are actually thinking of adopting another bloodhound, but I'm not committed to that yet. (Lot of feed and frontline there) But that about sums it up for me. Boring as usual. Oh, I've been to Kitz website too but doesn't seem very user friendly to me, but I think that is because I'm so used to zaar. I wish her the best.

Man ohhhh Man it is so nice to hear from you guys, Susie and Nimzie it is great to hear you are doing so well. Can you believe that life can be so good? I understand Susie suffering just a tad from empty nest syndrome...lol. And Nimz my love get the dog!!! What's one more, just more love to spread around, and lord knows they love ya back more than kids do, and they don't get sassy with you...lol.

I have also been to Kitz new blog site, and have had no problems with it...but did sign up for the forums, and am participating in the tag game and getting ready to start a cookathon here Oct. 11th. Would really be the BOMB if The Dirty Pan Gang were all there for that one...we could kick some Bodacious booty...roflmbo. Come on you guys lets have some fun. http://kittencalskitchen.com/forum/index.php?topic=578.0

This weekend I am renting a Van, picking my oldest daughter up at the airport in Sacramento, and her; her sister, her sisters son and Fiancee; my 25 year old grandson, and I are all going up to Apple Hill in Cameron Park to spend the day. I will be coming back with at least 3 lugs of apples to process into Apple Pie Filling, Applesauce, Apple Butter, Pickled Apples, and hoping even to get some Apple Jelly out of it all. Soooo I guess with my new 23QT Pressure Canner I will be pretty doggone busy for a few days...least I am hoping.
I really need to stock my shelves up for what appears to be a very hard winter coming...the squirrels are stocking up big time.

Did I tell you guys that I have a Raccoon living on top of my trailer between the trailer and the Ramada. Well last night she (Rocky) brought down three babies to show me. Rocky will almost let me pet her, she comes within a foot of me. I also have a pet skunk who comes up on my porch every night for food, her name is Flower. She runs from everyone but me, but knows I am not a threat to her. Everyone up here says I should trap them and have them relocated, but honestly I feel that I have invaded their natural living place, and unless they are threatening my life who am I to have them moved? Now a Bear might give me pause, but if he leaves my garbage, livestock, and me alone, I don't believe I would even do that to him. Mountain Lions are a totally different matter all together...would call Forest Service in a heart beat if I found one of those around here. I did have a visit last year from a (wild) Llama, someone had desserted up here, even tried to catch it so I could take care of it but it was so wild no one could catch it. I am so sad about that and worry about it cuz I didn't see him at all this year, and think maybe the Lions got him.

Well, I am off for a bit, hope to see you all in Kittencals cookathon...Hugz, Lynda
